Starlord's mom in the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy got to me, I've had family members die of cancer and it really hit home.

I am subbing at a school right now and watched this movie just a couple weeks ago and that hit me pretty hard. Then at the same school but a different class, the teacher played this movie as kids worked on their art projects and she had obviously never seen it. When it happens, I just suddenly hear this gasp and oh no and turn and see the teacher just super upset. He was just set up so well and the death is so painful.

When Radio's mom died in the film "Radio". Great performance from Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ed Harris in that scene, along with the music, everything about it just set a strong emotional impact.

Growing up mine was Mickeys death in Rocky III. "I love ya kid" always got to me cause I really liked their relationship together like a surrogate father-son.
Oh I would also say Malone's death in The Untouchables. It was his death that finally sent Elliot over the edge to nab Capone

Johnny at the end of The Room. Such a great, charitable flawless person and all he gets is betrayed. No wonder he was fed up with this world

know what, dark horse here, but Frigga in Thor the Dark World, that 1 hit me. and Loki's reaction to it really made the movie.

Draco's death in Dragonheart. Setsuko's death in Grave of the Fireflies. Littlefoot's mom in The Land Before Time Mhmm. It's a tossup between that scene and this one for saddest scene in that movie.
