It's actually kind of cool to see Arnold Schwarzenegger branching out lately. I know Sabotage was a film hated by many (I think it's going to be a cult classic film that's going to age well) but many agreed it was one of Schwarzenegger's best acting performances and wanted to see him branch out in more different roles. This looks really interesting.

Sabotage was such a bad movie from a director I've come to really enjoy. I was honestly let down big time by it.
This looks cool. I'd definitely watch it if I saw it on Netflix.

Had access to the World Premiere of this. One day before, it got pulled because big time distributors got on board with the idea and said "Let's blow the movie up bigger."
So I hope they didn't destroy ALL of the indie feel that was in there.

It got pulled. Sorry. I may have not been clear. Lionsgate made an offer to the ones in charge mere days before its world premiere, and basically pulled a Money Mayweather in saying "the world isn't ready for this," which as we know translatesr "we're going for a blockbuster release for a big payday."
It was an indie film. Lionsgate got wind of what this was, and realized with The Walking Dead craze and the current zombie craze, they could mass distribute this and make some moolah off of it instead of just letting it go as an indie film project.
They were really late to the party, but you can't blame the film-makers because they're going to make bank now by comparison to what it would've originally been: an indie film that would spread in popularity by word of mouth.
The thing is, these bigwig deals usually get made before an indie film will premiere to select audiences. Lionsgate didn't want anyone to see it without their razzle dazzle added first, so it got pulled from its premiere when they arrived verrrrry late to the hype party. Obviously, indie films premiere all the time and then get picked up for later mass distribution. But this was just kinda odd. Lionsgate wanted to make this film big before it could ever be an indie premiere/release. So it was indie, but now it's not since it never got a chance to screen before this wide market release.

This actually looks surprisingly good. I'm beyond tired of the zombie genre, but something besides another gun-crazy action flick is a nice change of pace.

The weird thing is a Arnold Schwarzenegger in any kind of zombie film (horror, over the top action, horror comedy) would be surprisingly fresh to the genre. Maybe it's just the surrealness of Arnie in a zombie film especially an old man grizzled Arnie.

I find it amazing how willing Schwarzenegger is to branch out in his film roles. Look at Stallone who has a death grip on Expendables/Rocky/Rambo. Look at Bruce Willis who did one movie like that but has since moved into "I don't care, just give me a paycheck" mode.
It's just kind of neat.

This looks really good. The last Arnie movie I enjoyed was Escape Plan, but I like the look of this.
