I think I'm just about to just start skipping the CMC episodes already. Especially given the premise of the next one completely undermines this one's moral rendering the whole thing f***ing pointless.

Gonna take a while to figure out a rating, but the mind screw nature was a good way of doing character development for Applebloom and while a predictable finish, it was a fun road there.
Ranking wise I will say its below Sleepless in Ponyville, but just above For Whom the Sweetie Belle Tolls.

Leaning to a 6 with this. Story was wacky and great visuals, but a bit dry in concept, and I still don't like Luna at all

I'm going 5 / 10, mostly on the basis that the whole thing was basically, "What if Cutie Pox had Luna in it?" and at this point they've changed up a lot of other aspects of the status quo so I don't get why they stick with this one so damn much.

I did like Luna's expressions in this episode. Like the wings covering her face, and her giggling at the squeeky sound when Bloom called the meeting to order.

The whole cutie mark angle is getting rather tiresome now.
Give them their cutie marks or just drop the angle.

I'm guessing they're just never getting them. They've gone through two intended series finales by this point without pulling the trigger so seems like they just plain don't want to do it. |

So this like completes a whole Luna / CMC arc it feels. And Luna appears in the new season before Celestia.
This was fun episode, it was obvious it was all a dream. I hope someone gets their cutie mark, it has happen already, how long are you going to stretch it out.
I think this episode might play a role in the big arc of the season and the finale. We got hints from Diamond Tiara teasing her, to her friends and her family abandoning her, we got hints what made Sunshine Glimmer so crazy, perhaps the lessons the CMC learned will play a role in the Sunshine Glimmer arc, and I just realized when Sunshine Glimmer was a child, Luna was trapped in the moon and couldn't be there to help her. It all makes sense.
This was a great episode, always great to see Luna, has prodentally to be a big episode if this all ties back to Sunshine Glimmer which would the obvious thing to do, even it is not, still 9 / 10.

I'll have to think on a grade myself...but so far, despite the dream surreal at the end and Luna's expressions, this is the weakest Season 5 thus far.
