Count me among the "don't sign him unless he agrees to only be a manager" crowd. Kurt's one of my all time favorites (mainly for his WWE run) but it's 2015 and he's obviously laboring out there just to put on something watchable.

I don't blame Triple H. And it sounds like Vince was letting Triple H take the heat. Are you telling me if Vince really wanted Kurt, he'd just acquiesce to Triple H? No. If Vince wanted Kurt, he'd have made it happen. If I'm WWE, I'd be willing to sign Kurt to a 'Legend' contract for merchandising and special projects like interviews for Network/DVDs. Putting him in the ring could be a liability problem at this point depending on if he can pass the WWE physical.

He sounds like a spurned ex-girlfriend. "He doesn't want me back, but I don't really care..I'm happier now with my new boyfriend, even though he's a pussy and not as cool as my ex. But I'm happy."
And if HHH said this, well...he's right. There IS too much talent, and while I would love to see Angle back in a WWE ring, I don't see what Angle could possibly add to the product. A match between him and Bryan now would be average, he would be killed taking the Accolade by Rusev, and just one suplex from Lesnar would kill him dead. I love Kurt, I don't want to see him wrestle anymore because I want him to be healthier in later life. Hang it up Kurt.

"They cancelled our meeting. They didn't even sit me down to talk to me."
"So I didn't pursue WWE any further."
I love how he tries to spin it as a decision he made.

He's lost his stamina, just happens with age and he's done well to last as long as he has but he should ask himself why there's so few 45 year olds playing soccer or basketball professionally, you need stamina.
Taker, Sting and HHH can just about go once a year and they wrestle a safer style and don't have a history of neck troubles, afaik none are big boozers either. Not sure why Kurt thinks he's different and can work multiple matches a year.

"We have so much talent, we've had a part timer main event our last three Wrestlemanias." So, in fairness, WWE had enough legacy stars who work a light schedule and/or big events.

Here's the thing. Kurt Angle stopped being a GREAT wrestler after WrestleMania X-9. He stopped being a GOOD wrestler sometime early on in his TNA run. He's been down right dreadful since I'd say around '08-'09. Personal opinion, sure. But my god, the dude's body is being held together by scotch tape and bubble gum, his mind is COMPLETELY warped, he very clearly had/has substance abuse issues, and without someone in the WWE family to put together matches for him, I really think the dude couldn't put together a legitimate great match anymore if his life depended on it. I finally sat down and watched Angle/Lashley after I read a lot of people getting off over it and oh my god it was so bad. Not "worst match I've ever seen bad", but just...no.
Kurt Angle needs to retire from everywhere. And I'm saying this as a fan of the guy! His legacy is already tarnished, I'd rather not see it ruined completely by him dying in the f***ing ring because of his own stupidity.

He could have been an excellent surprise entrant in the rumble match , & maybe one and done match with Bryan , aside from that - he isnt much value to WWE

The only way I'd want to see Angle back in WWE is in a strictly non-wrestling / non-physical role and even then mainly so WWE could release a retrospective set for him.

There are people I've felt WWE has dropped the ball on by either not signing/pursuing (Styles) or not utilizing properly (Raven, Cabana).
In this case however I can totally not blame them for not wanting to bring in Angle.

I want him to quit TNA, (and vacate the belt if he has to) retire from in-ring competition then go in the WWE HOF. No more wrestling matches! Guy has had a great career and possibly dying in a wrestling ring because of his own stubborness and stupidity is no way to end it at all.

"But I’m going to be straight with you....The WWE would have made more money this year if they would have signed me. That’s no secret." The best line of the entire thing. I'm imagining Kurt saying that over and over to himself at night. *Kurt laying in bed crying* "Don't you agree other-Kurt?" Other Kurt - "I totally agree Kurt" "Do you want to eat some ice cream other-Kurt?" Other Kurt - "No you go ahead, I think I'm going to go on Twitter for awhile" *next shot is of Kurt Angle at a computer looking stark raving mad with ice cream all over his face, one eye twitching, typing on Twitter*

And just where is the money TNA has made in those 10 years? Think he's being sarcastic dawg. Not at all. If Angle had sorted his shit out and returned to WWE in a year or two, they would have had a mutually beneficial relationship, it's hard to remember since it has been so long but Angle was a top guy when he left And I have no doubt he would have been main eventing PPV's and bringing in money to WWE. Sting just made WWE a lot of money, the fact that he was in TNA for many years doesn't devalue that - any big star can just do more on WWE's platform. What I'm sure the powers that be at WWE do find annoying is that Angle walked out on them when by all accounts they were trying to get him help. Angle then walked a tightrope for ten years and it's only recently he's claimed to have gotten off the booze and drugs. He's wasted ten profitable yearsin TNA and WWE clearly aren't in the charitable mood of giving him one last run or a couple of Mania career ending moments like he just assumed he would get for some reason. Angle sadly overvalued his position, I don't think he's out many feelers out over the years and so he's been rattled by a lack of interest in him. Unlike The Rock, Lesnar or even Batista, Angle is not a bigger star than when he left.

I'm not a wrestler, but it seems to me that if they don't come to you, they're not going to be interested if you come to them.

I think next time Trips should just be really blunt with him and say "Kurt, you're falling apart and we have no desire to see an olympian cripple himself on our watch". screw being nice, because Kurt clearly never gets it.

I think the constant "dying in the ring" comments are over the top. Yeah, the guy's beat up and slow and def needs to retire, but everything doesn't have to be so extreme and morbid.

My desire to see Angle return died when Russev lost his streak. I never followed Angle to TNA because, TNA, but I'm still a huge fan and I hope he gets his HOF induction and some career retrospective DVDs and all he deserves.

It boggles my mind that they don't want him to get hurt in the ring with his past...but yet they just let Scott Hall take a back body drop at Mania. You know who I'm more worried about?
