I'm fairly certain someone used this gimmick in Ultimate M.U.S.C.L.E (Possibly another joke one made by a company) Mae Young's son grew up to be a beefcake. Brutus secretly fathered Mae's kid?

Maybe I'm being dense today but Easy-He has to be an intentional one, right? -edit- 50 bucks for a "bootleg"? Holy. Absolutely intentional. There's a whole market for customized or limited run faux "bootlegs" on the internet. Guys create a run or 10 or 20 or even 100 in their garages. They're bootlegs in that they often use original or molds of original toys to make their weird shit, but it's totally intentional and, to me at least, is nowhere near as fun as the real bootlegs, that can be great and ridiculous without doing it on purpose. Say hello to da bad guys. Definitely not bootlegs. Remco didn't make bootlegs, but they loooooved making knock-offs and cash-ins. Hector Guerrero was given one too many bad gimmicks and finally snapped. This guy is part of Fuerza-T, a line made in South America using molds legally bought from Mattel by a company. Somehow, Mattel may actually own the rights to these characters fully, as they've been teased here and there by the guys making the MOTUC line. Although very fast and powerful. He could never thwart his enemy, Narrow doorway. Sun-Man and his entire line, while using bodies similar to the MOTU one (just like Remco did with their AWA and Warlord figures), weren't actually bootlegs. The line was created by Olmec Toys in the mid-80s to cater to minorities and have a more inclusive cast. Heroes in the line were of various races/ethnicities, including black, white, native american, asian, etc.

Very informative, Nifty. I suppose I'll broaden the title to include knock offs and the like.
Zap Man's peripheral vision is non existent.

I may have mentioned this before, has anyone ever seen the dolls that were based off of criminals. There was a mob gangster, a bank robber, and some other types. They had clothe outfits and had accessories for what specific to what they were.
I saw them at a Family Dollar in Macon, Ga and I haven't seen them since.I would have bought them all but I figured I'd see them again. Boy was I wrong. I assume they didn't last long since they were definitely not good guy toys.

While I'm a fan of bootleg lego minifigs in military/police tac gear, I kinda find the severed head accessory a bit unsettling... Now of course, the question is: where can I buy one of those? Mae Young's son grew up to be a beefcake. Brutus secretly fathered Mae's kid? Don't let the mental image sink in. Don't let the mental image sink in. Don't let the mental image sink in. Don't let the mental image sink in. Don't let the mental image sink in. Don't let the mental image sink in. Don't let the... ... yep, you've ruined sex for me forever.

I like how El Supermano has a Supersombrero What else would he wear for a disguise, a pair of glasses? Like that would ever work!

I would have saved up many allowances for that knock off Goro back in the day, hell I kinda want it now.

I would have saved up many allowances for that knock off Goro back in the day, hell I kinda want it now. Frankly, considering the official figures looked like THIS back then... ... these bootlegs are amazing in comparison. The only problem is: why is Goro's head just a regular dude? I know they probably just recycled an old mould but surely they must have had some monster designs lying around?
