Stannis who? Bolton for Father of the Year! lol I loved that scene, especially considering it was lead in by the story of Roose raping his mother. The fact it really mirrored the scene last week was just icing on the cake. |

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the point of that dragon pit scene and why she threatened Hizdar. That scene only served to start memes of Dany's supposed badassery. Nothing more. It flies in the face of the whole angle they went with about fair trials not that long ago. Did Barristan's death really send her that far over the edge? If so, why? It's not like she knew him all that much or had an emotional attachment near what she had for Drogo. I mean hell, she f****** ignored him and anything he had to say for the most part until right before his death.
Also, who has been giving Sam and Aemon word about Dany all the way at the wall? That seems like a big risk for them if even one of those messages were intercepted by the crown or someone loyal to the crown. What if Stannis recieved word of it? I doubt he'd be too happy with the wall's maester being in contact with someone affiliated with another party vying for the iron throne.
Why is Stannis taking Selyse, Melisandre, and Shireen with him south? Does he really think they'd be safer in the middle of a potential warzone than with the Night's watch? Does he really think that Jon and co. or even Alliser Thorne would really let anything happen to them at the wall? Couldn't he just have left some of his troops behind to watch over them if he's that worried? What happens if the Boltons beat him? His loved ones then risk being left at the hands of the house who flays people for a living.
And finally, how does he plan to ressuply without someone being at the wall to help him out when needed? Stannis has basically left himself to march into the snow with no way of restocking if and when he needs it.
I'm a little baffled by some of this.
