And the moment was all the better for it?

As much as Joey Styles is known for "Oh my god" I think he was really a master of knowing when to shut up. I've been re-watching a lot of the older ECW ppvs and when ever there was a particularly scary, dangerous or amazing looking high spot to let the moment and the crowd speak for the spot. It was usually only 3 or 4 seconds of quiet but it really made the spot feel special, even when in many cases it was a spot that wasn't exactly uncommon in ECW

Amen to Styles.
Maybe Im abit fudgy, but after Bulldog won at SS '92, there was a good dead pause to let the crowd roar.

When Bryan left the Wyatt Family in the cage. If you watch the upload on WWE's YouTube page, the commentators don't speak until the end when Bryan starts attacking Bray.

I always loved how ROH choose to do Joe vs Kobashi with no commentary. It really made the match seem way more special.

Nexus debut, of course this had much to do with them murdering the announce team, but damn was that solid.
