How about older WCW top stars like Vader, Luger, Sid and Arn Anderson? I don't think Hunter ever faced Sid, Arn or Vader, and I don't think he crossed path with Luger. Did HHH ever face Ron Simmons?

He also beat Jeff Jarrett, who was once positioned as a top guy in WCW. Triple H defeated him before he became a WCW top-guy.

Thank you for this thread. Really reinforces the fact that Triple H is a shit bag and I shouldn't feel bad for loathing him.

I find it a little funny that people are still mad about some of these in the year 2015 , I mean I get Sting because that was less than a month ago ; but are people honestly still upset about Steiner or the Big Show ?
Edit : And heck the heel going over everyone and questionably staying on top for a little too long , if anything he gave us a nice little tribute to WCW. heh

HHH can pay off every former WCW employee it still won't take away the pain of losing to @ Starcade It must eat him up inside to know he will never be able to get a vin on the German because of his injuries. If any promotion ever rose up to rival wwe, I would love to see Wright get hired and come in as "The undefeated" Alex Wright.

Ugh...every time I think about stuff like this it makes my dislike of Trips that much stronger. And he always uses the "I didn't book it it was Vince slapping his old ass fingers on the keyboard with a MS Excel document open" excuse. Suuure you didn't. If it was his ego, then why did he beat Goldberg and Sting through heavily cheating and basically putting them over as the better man? People are adding 2 plus 2 and getting 6 here. Plus Steiner's gimp foot had no business as world champion, anyway. If he was healthier and didn't give us one of the shittiest title matches I've ever seen, maybe that'd have bothered me. True true, my bias is probably getting the better of me. Like you said, Steiner wasn't really buried by Triple H, the dude buried himself. But I just feel like looking over aaaall the stuff he's done, not just WCW, shows that the guy likely has a really huge fragile ego.

To be fair he also beat every WWE top star from every generation since the 1980's.
Hulk Hogan- Top star of the 80's Bret Hart- By count out, top star of the 90's Shawn Michaels- Top star in the middle 90's The Rock- Top star of the late 90's/early 2000's Austin- Top star of the late 90's Mankind- Top star of 1999 Undertaker- Top star since 1991 John Cena- Top star of the mid 2000's to now Randy Orton- Top star of mid 2000's CM Punk- Top star of 2011 Brock Lesnar- Top star now
He needs a win over Bryan, Bruno, Backlund, Batista and Rollins then he beat everyone who is still alive. Too bad he couldn't get a win over Warrior, Savage and Andre.

And some fans will beleave it's legit

He never beat Goldberg one on one... Didn't have to be one on one to irk my friends and I that ordered that match. The dude demanded to be thrown into a nWo civil war match. Evolution should have been old hat by then.

Not snark, reading this just winds me up. Wrestlemania pretty much killed my interest in WWE I still refuse to watch any part of that PPV after the handshake.

So? Half of those guys were well past their prime. Is anyone really going to complain about beating The Big Show and child killer? I think people overvalue Booker T. The only guy that would have a gripe would be Goldberg. Even then, it took a lot of shady business to beat him. Going into WM XIX, Booker T. was white hot and probably the most over babyface in the company at the time. The build-up to the match was essentially race-baiting with rich white guy HHH positioned as poor black guy Booker's superior. The logical conclusion to that program was Booker winning the heavyweight title and sticking it to HHH, but instead, HHH went over and essentially proved every awful thing he said in the lead-up to WM was true. They had the chance to turn Booker into a top, top star and, instead, he did a nonsensical job to HHH.
