On last year's Paul Heyman DVD/blu-ray, WWE included some segments from ECW where Heyman addressed the crowd from in the ring. These segments were never shown in their entirety by ECW, but WWE's versions are aired in full.
In the last one from March 1998, Heyman is speaking to the crowd about how ECW PPVs will now air in New York via Cablevision. In putting over the fans for making it happen, he brings up WCW and Eric Bischoff. At one point, he says this (paraphrasing):
"Bischoff only cares about making just enough money to....point the camera away."
(Cameraman pans away, and Heyman makes snorting noises off-screen. After a pause, he resumes talking.)
"What? I didn't say he bangs Page's wife."
I'm surprised WWE included that. Did Bischoff ever hear about this, and did anything come from it?

I imagine someone likely brought it to his attention at some point, but he probably didn't put much stock into it.

As hateable as Bisch's 98 on-screen character was anyway, imagine that that guy also maybe got to nail Kimberley on occasion.

Bischoff knew. He stated in his book and in his shoot that he tried to soothe things over with Paul E and after the dinner he started getting questions from lawyers about cocaine and drug use

I was about to say that Heyman doing that is hilarious considering that back in those days, Paul looked like he was wired 24/7. I say that as a Heyman fan, too. |

Didn't Bischoff accuse Heyman of coke use too? I remember in his book mentioning a dinner the two had and mentioning how Heyman left the table, and then came back a little more energetic than when he left.
