TNA dying five years ago would have been a blow to wrestling. Now, it's actually a blessing. TNA talent have more than enough options in terms of promotions to go to (ROH, GFW, Japan, etc), and even HHH has been more liberal with the talent that is signed for NXT (Joe). The landscape is a lot different now, and if anything, the stench of being in TNA is far worse than the prospect of having to look for employment elsewhere. Hell, Jarrett will likely sign everyone that is not headed to WWE/NXT/ROH/Japan. As someone mentioned earlier, I do feel bad for EC3, as I don't think any other promotion will build the company around him like TNA looked to be doing, but he'll get work elsewhere. He's too good not to. I still think the death of TNA is a huge blow. RoH has a TV deal, but TNA may be dead and GFW is still a pipe dream until we have actual news of a deal for them. I'm not sure if Jarrett will just pick these guys up. He might have to leave them out in the cold just to avoid "TNA 2.0" accusations that might hurt his product. There are a lot of guys who are "good enough" to be on TV but just don't fit with the product that those other promotions are offering, and I feel bad for them more than anything. |

Gotta say, it was quite magical how I discovered this thread. Woke up, checked my notifications, saw something I'd posted on page 30-something had gotten a few likes, looked to see what... then I noticed how the thread had practically doubled in size, then I noticed the changed title.

A crossover would just be weird. ROH has a ton of talent who left because they did not like TNA I think a crossover should be done just for proper closure. If TNA has to die, it would be best if TNA's titles were unified into RoH's. |
