It's hilarious seeing Dixie Carter try to pull the old Paul Heyman "we're not really dying guys!" tactics with NONE of the charisma. As shitty as Heyman might have been in the last days of ECW he at least got his talent to believe in him. This is just sad.

Forget all of the "lolTNA" moments from the Hogan/Bischoff regime-onward (or all of the "lolTNA" moments in the company's history). It's amazing to think where TNA would be if Vince Russo and Dixie Carter knew how to work their f***ing e-mail browsers! Rod Sterling, a man who knew something about swerves and breaking the fourth wall!

Dixie trying to play it off while the talent take jabs is making it so much sweeter.

Although he said it in his typical loud, obnoxious manner, Vince Russo is spot-on. This move eviscerates Meltzer's claims that DA was disappointed with TNA's sponsors, hence their cancellation. If that claim were true, DA would not be bringing in an even more low-brow, less-sponsor-friendly wrestling promotion; that does not compute. If it does not compute, it's most likely untrue. If anything, this move demonstrates DA is happy with TNA, and the wrestling business in general, hence expanding on it. Ring Of Honor becomes TNA's opening act, and both promotions grow from the cross-pollination of fans. I, for one, am hoping for crossover storylines, or even a full-blown invasion angle. ROH costs a fraction of what TNA costs. The problem is not that TNA brings in worse ad rates than the other stuff on Destination America, it's that ad rates for wrestling do not make up for the high cost of production. TNA still generates more ad revenue than The Search For Squatchfoot, but not nearly enough to make up for what they're paying for. Since ROH is essentially being purchased for syndication, DA does not have to front money for anything and thus has a show that will do similar numbers and bring in similar ads at a risk-free price. Russo's opinions are like someone who is overhearing other people talk and figures he has enough information to make a statement (and a loud one at that). Notice how he says that he has never seen an episode of ROH...then demands that they "show [him] something."

ROH is checking with WWE to see if they're allowed to use him on TV tapings. They have a plan with him involved, and one without.
ROH recently got a new lighting rig, so their production values should be on par with TNA.

Good news for wrestling, it does well enough to have two different companies on a national-ish channel, we'll get to see what RoH can do on the national stage. If it does well, then TNA can fade into obscurity where it will not be missed.
I have my reservations as to how well RoH will be received on the national stage, but we shall see.

I have to give TNA credit. When it comes to catching an L, they really know how to catch that L! If you're going to do it, do it right!

I mean, despite the forced "I love wrestling" tweets that TNA is making them post, I have to imagine at least a few of them realize what ROH coming to DA means for TNA.

Crazy how much bigger a deal ROH going to DA feels than when TNA went there. Sort of like how Sting felt like a bigger deal going to WWE and Joe felt like a bigger deal going to NXT. I think we can call this phenomenon the LOLTNA effect.
