They weren't a terrible team but kinda generic. But they didn'thave a particularly good record on PPV did they?
I've been watching WWE PPVS from the early 90s and boy, they lost an awful lot. In fact so far I haven't seen them win.

I think they were brought in for a program with teams like the Bushwackers and the Rockers. Problem is since the Bushwackers were being phased out and Shawn was going to get the long promised singles run, you were stuck with a team with no purpose. Lasted about a year before getting jobbed out to the Natural Disasters at the end of the run.

See, their gimmick was that they....were from a rich part of CLEVELAND, Ohio. Seriously. They were billed from Shaker Heights, Ohio. Which nobody...NOBODY outside of the Cleveland area knows or gives a shit about.
Doomed from the start, which sucked because I liked them in AWA.

I enjoy their match with The Steiners from Royal Rumble 93. Although I could watch The Steiners beat the shit out of anybody to be honest.

Though it would be good to have a gimmick of delusional heels trying to pull the "I'm better than you" card by living in say, the biggest house in Pinehurst, Idaho.

Great team in AWA. It seemed like this gimmick was a rib on them because their previous gimmick was this

This was the most Sonic the Hedgehog esque stage music in the history of the business... until the Motor City Machine Guns theme came along:

I think it was kind of Vince's last FU to Verne to take them and do nothing. On the other hand this was an era in which there were enough teams to have a top half of the division where the teams would be competing for the belts and a bottom half where they would just fight each other.

their awesome theme song and sweet finisher was enough for me to love the Beverly Brothers. this poor jobber eats a particularly devastating "Shaker Heights Spike": Shaker Heights Spike

Pretty sure that the Steiners were legit beating the shit out of everyone that they were in there with.

Mike Enos is one of those guys who, if he had had just a little bit of personality, could have gone a long way. He was always a great worker, just no persona to speak of. Wayne Bloom, though, I never had much use for.

I never minded them. Effective douchbag heels, moreorless. Pairing them with the Genius helped them too. They both seemed like really big guys, too, which made them a bit more threatening.
The Beverlys are one of those interesting cases where 1 guy (Beau/Wayne Bloom) left and the other (Blake/Mike Enos) was just around for months, still used on TV even, jobbing out until he went away. The Highlanders ended up like that too (Rory was suspended for that TNA "appearance", while Robbie was on Heat for months jobbing solo, until both were released together).

I liked the Destruction Crew. I hated the Beverly Brothers. These guys were wasted in the WWF. If they would have gone to WCW after the AWA folded, they would have been able to have longer, competitive matches with the Steiners, Doom, SST, LOD, Zenk and Flyin Bryan, the midnight express and the rock and roll express.

They actually did go to WCW when the AWA folded. They were the masked Minnesota Wrecking Crew I do believe. That didn't go over as well because they were only brought in to feud with Sting and that was it, leaving to WWF in 1991.
