Always read about this, but never saw the actual footage until last night. You can tell he's still working his character out a bit, as he still has a very rough, heelish edge in his commentary (he and Gordon Solie are the voices). Anyway, after years of working as a heel, this was the birth of the American Dream we knew and loved (though he was already going by that nick as a heel) www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjJuZ-8eTaAMan, sad to see everyone except maybe the ref (not sure who it is) involved in this bit is gone. Dusty, Pak Song, both Grahams, Gary Hart and Solie, all gone.

Huge moment in his career, possibly the key moment of his entire career. I think it was included somewhere on the Dusty DVD, but somehow WWE didn't include any clips of it in their tribute videos after Dusty's passing. Dusty was already working as a babyface in Minnesota before this, but this babyface turn in Florida is what really led to him becoming one of the biggest national stars of the 1970s and 1980s.
