Am I the only one who thinks this has been Total Drama's best season in a while? The writers have done a great job at keeping things unpredictable with who wins and goes home. Also, the Ice Dancers are The New Day of Cartoon Network.

Also, the Ice Dancers are The New Day of Cartoon Network. You are not alone with that thought. This season is a breath of fresh air and to be honest more character development has been given in the 16 episodes so far than most episodes of the last seasons of Total Drama. And comparing Ice Dancers to New Day is an awesome comparison. They are the brother and sister team from Blades of Glory meets the New Day pretty much but so far The Goths are now my pick to win it all with The Best Friends (Carrie & Devin) as my second choice.

the fact it is back to motr than 13 episodes is GREAT
It is currently tied to me with World Tour for best in the series.
Also,NOAH. Noah is a main star in this season, which makes me happy! I think Jacques is hilarious.I also love the Hating Couple.
Team Noah and Owens,or Goth, these are the ones for me.But i'm happy with any of then winning at this point.

Also, the Ice Dancers are The New Day of Cartoon Network. I think it helps that no group of characters, except maybe the Ice Dancers, have dominated the show. Even then, they are the Villains, and pretty hilarious ones at that.

Especially since they never really did anything with Noah in the first series but in World Tour the fact that him and Owen have that friendship just makes it even better that they work well in TDRR the only thing he needs to do is stop dodging and get together with Emma already. Also my picks for who i want to win are The Goths, Best Friends (Carrie & Devin), Surfer Dudes aka Broskis or The Cadets.

Yeah, the Best Friends really grew on me. I already liked Carrie since she's very cute and is nice without feeling like a rehash of other Total Drama characters, and Devin has been showing personality lately too.

I really want Carrie to confess but i would rather wait if they make it all the way to the end but i do love those two. Brody seems to be eyeing MacArthur which i actually am starting to ship and it looks like MacArthur is in the same boat when it comes to fascination on Brody

I've watched every episode up until now and I've really been enjoying the series far more than any other Total Drama series thus far, maybe because I am a fan of the Amazing Race and they've pretty spot on in their satire of that series.
Makes sense as Amazing Race is a pretty big deal up here in Canada so much that we've even developed our own version of the series that just wrapped up its third season and is coming back for a fourth.
Anyways it was kind of sad to see the Father/Son team go as they were one of my personal favorites although I did laugh at this exchange on the carpet:
At least they got a nice send off so that's that.
As for future predictions I can see the Ice Dancers playing the Karma Houdini trope all the way to the end, where they will either get close and lose out to another team or even win the race, but get screwed out of the prize money in some comedic fashion.

I just finished the next 5 episodes and man my feels are soaring and my hate is even more for certain teams and things that happened. For those who want to know what happened go ahead and read the spoilers but if you don't want to i will say this you won't be disappointed with the next ones. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Episode 17 was in the Artic Circle and is yet another good episode. Once again Ennui uses his suave on animals again. I still don't know how he does it. Narwhal ring toss was the challenge. Again it was a boomerang challenge as well with the Haters getting the boomerang and placing first but their hatred towards each other caused Stephanie to use the boomerang on Ryan which was allowed to do so the Haters ended up having to go back to the beginning all over again. Loki helped Ennui find the ring and the narwhal came up and took the ring while Ennui held it out over the water. Devin is now in the depression stage of his break up and of course the Goths are surprised by how "cool" Devin became. The Surfer Dudes are now a target of mind games by The Ice Dancers, who have been doing mind tricks on the other racers throughout the episode. The second challenge was an Igloo building challenge. Brody and Geoff didn't let The Ice Dancers mind tricks get to them and they bro-hugged it out...of course that didn't last for long as Josee got into Geoffs head but this time it kind of worked. Brody and Geoff got themselves out of their slump again and got on the same page and finished 1st. Goths ended up making a skullglo but still passed. The Cadets just barely made it as The Haters would have lost if it wasn’t for another non elimination round. Seriously again...i wanted them The Haters gone. Episode 18 is in Indonesia. Noah is acting calm and collected around Emma, which of course didn't last long. The challenge is to fill a vile of venom from a Komodo Dragon. Kitty is finally taking things seriously and one up Emma. Devin is now at the moving on stage of the break up process. The first team get the venom was Owen and Noah but weren't first to finish as a Komodo Dragon decide to make Owen his bitch and got Venom in his eye. The Goths finished first with Josee going insane again. The Cadets started to confess stuff in their lives that they are guilty of and got stuck up a tree but still finished. Owen and Noah got eliminated and Noah got his first kiss with Emma. As the episode ended Noah and Owen talked about what to do next and Noah said they were asked to be in the next season of....something cause the episode ended before being able to say what it was. Episode 19....LAS VEGAS!! Well not really but still in the area. Devin is finally over Shelly so Carrie can finally say her feelings. Emma keeps thinking of Noah. The challenge was teams can either race dune buggies or perform a magic trick. Brody and Geoff finished the challenge in 18 seconds...but instead of going to the end they decided to try tricks on the buggies instead. The magic trick wasn't as easy as it looked as one person gets put in a cell with a lion and flip a switch which randomly either gets rid of the lion or allows the divider to let the lion and person in the cell to get close. Kitty and MacArthur got into it after Kitty cut her off in the buggy while Carrie shows she knows nothing when it comes to video games and how to hold a controller. The Goths are seriously the best team as Loki jumped into the lions mouth causing Ennui to pull him out and they passed the challenge even though the task was to make the lion disappear. The Goths placed first again with the Haters in second. Surfers still finished. Devin confessed his love for Carrie to the cameras after he made her disappear instead and Carrie ended up not giving into her needs and focused on the race from now on. Ice Dancers came in 6th and Carrie and Devin were last but it was a non elimination challenge. First time i was happy for non elimination as i really don't want one of my top 3 teams losing. Episode 20 is in Mexico which the challenge involves cliff diving. The Ice Dancers have set sights on getting rid of The Goths by stealing Loki, which they did when Jacques tripped over Ennui and took Loki switching him. The challenge is one eats a chili pepper and based on the heat level the other jumps from a certain height off the cliff. The hottest is a easy low jump and mildest is a harder higher jump. Devin is seen to not be able to handle the hottest or medium heat pepper. The next challenge is a donkey race to a Mayan Temple. Ennui discovered that Loki is gone and also reveals that Santa once gave him a black cat for christmas but it got out of the house one day and never came back. Crimson found out that Loki is gone and she is willing to lose the challenge for Ennui and help get Loki back. Ryan and Carrie are now on speaking and holding hands terms while Stephanie could careless while Devin got Pepper Juice in his eyes. The Cadets finsihed last. Loki got away and they reunited. The Goths were last to the chill zone and got eliminated. Loki did an Undertaker throat slice to show the Ice Dancers that they are dead. Crimson wished that the Ice Dancers get whats coming to them while Ennui wishes they get worse than that with Crimson saying she loves when he gets vengeful leading Ennui to pull the old Han Solo saying "I Know" Episode 21 is located in Vietnam. The challenge is cat fish noodling with teams working together. The Cadets, Ice Dancers, & The Haters as Team 1. Best Friends, Sisters, & Surfer Dudes as Team 2. Carrie and Ryan are really getting along causing Stephanie to get jealous of Carrie. Devin continuously screws up trying to be nice to Carrie that is causing Carrie to lose her feelings for him as time goes on. The Cadets and Ice Dancers continue to hate each other while Stephanie realized she needs Ryan. Team 2 next challenge is to go through a maze of Vietnam War fox holes while Team 1 catches a catfish with the RR logo on it and allows them to skip the fox hole challenge and go to the finish line. So Ice Dancers, Cadets, & Haters are in a guaranteed place but they are all now in a power alliance called the Axis of Evil. The Surfer Dudes continued to believe that the three teams were still a team but the others didn't see it that way. Even though all three of them made it to the Don Box Surfer Dudes gave up their spots because if it wasn't for Devin finding it and alerting the others they never would have got out of the tunnels so they willingly gave up the lead and ended up getting eliminated. Brody saw MacArthur and told her not to be upset and that she will have to finish without him but MacArthur obviously didn't let it affect her as it was a small fling. Ouch. Party on Bros. Party on.

I've really enjoyed the shakeup to the formula. Definitely been my fave installment in the franchise so far. They're looking to expand the whole brand with the "Total Drama Presents" label, so you can expect to see more offshoots like this. Was talking to McLean's actor about it recently, and he wouldn't be at all surprised if they even did a cooking competition show at some point.

{Spoiler}I'd say Best Friends would be eliminated next, with them getting distracted declaring their love for each other. Then the haters did that, so I think they'll go to the final 3.
With that in mind, I think the final four goes
4: Cadets 3: Ice Dancers 2/1: Best Friends/Sisters

I am comparing this to a Royal Rumble with the final 4 Superstars being a wild card to win it all. You really have no clue who will win it or be eliminated next

I am comparing this to a Royal Rumble with the final 4 Superstars being a wild card to win it all. You really have no clue who will win it or be eliminated next Bah, meant that to be a spoiler tag and not a quote. Honestly, I could se any of the good team make it through. The only team I'm certain will make it to the final 3 are the villains. It wouldn't make any sense for them not to. For the other three, I could easily see any of them getting eliminated, as their story lines are all either resolving or nearly resolved at this point, save for a loose end. On a more episode related note {Spoiler}Nothing thus far has been as satisfying as seeing the sisters smack Devin around.

I love how so incredibly over the top villainous The Ice Dancers have become that even Don is outwardly rooting against them. Of course they did kill his snowman friend "Chilly Billy" a few legs ago so I can see how that could affect ones bias.
