hat's why they have the villains eliminated in third (or have both finalists be villains), it'd probably be too much more work to animate the final episode if the villains are in it That or you go all-in on villains ala "World Tour", or ex-machina one out like "All-Stars". I'm glad they do the alt-winning scenes for some, but it bothers me when one region gets one ending and the other gets another. IIRC Heather defeated Alejandro in the Canadian finale of "World Tour" that leaked out WAY before the US finale, where Alejandro beat Heather. And I think they did something similar with "Action"...I know Duncan won via fanvote on CN's website to decide the winner in America, and I thought I remembered finding out Beth won in the Canadian airing. The reason that's a big deal to me is I wish they had some continuity on who actually "wins". The only winner they ever seem to universally acknowledge is Owen. I still remember it getting on my nerves when Duncan won Action and then in World Tour everyone was confused by him forfeiting. One of them even specifically said "I don't get it. Why would Duncan just walk away from a chance to win a million dollars?". That always bothered me. Like, in Canada, that might make sense where (again, going off memory, could be wrong) he didn't win the million, but when they ran that on CN it was just like "...BECAUSE HE ALREADY WON A MILLION!" And speaking of, I thought Owen's win in the first season was $100K. But they referenced a couple of times this season that he'd specifically won a million. When did that happen (in either airing)? Did he win it on one of those shows he named off having been on with Noah and it's just a joke, or did he win a million on another TD season at some point?

Yeah the winnings for the first season was only $100K. But Owen gave that up in the setup episode to be a part of Action in the set up episode where it was a tie for a briefcase with $1 Million. So in that retrospect, Owen won....only to give up his $100K to try for a Million only for everyone who touched the briefcase to tie and use Total Drama Action to find the true winner which ended up being Duncan. So Owen in this way of looking at it screwed himself over. In the other ending Gwen won Total Drama Island and decided not to go for the Million in the alternate set up to Action but she was pretty much forced into doing it as something happened to her $100K.

Yeah, I remember that (and remember HATING that the ended a season as amazing as TDA was with Duncan winning, who at the time was my least favorite character). But he specifically said when he got eliminated that he already had won a million, like he never really lost anything. I know it's a minor thing, it just confused me.
