Tiegate was the finest in choke artistry and Meltzer gave Bryan 4 and 4/5 stars for it.

Despite horrendous booking that could have killed his career, Reigns has had nothing but solid matches since the spotlight has been on him, not sure how he can be considered a choke artist in any sense of the word.

William Regal - Gets a main event push, takes drugs, gets caught, suspended, push gone.
The Miz - "To vote for your favorite diva... *Looks up.* *Looks at hand* Call WWE.com... Go to WWE.com and vote... "Crowd: "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO."

On the current roster, there's no bigger choke artist than Bray Wyatt. He's more protected and gets more promo time than anyone, yet he shits the bed in nearly every big match.

Despite horrendous booking that could have killed his career, Reigns has had nothing but solid matches since the spotlight has been on him, not sure how he can be considered a choke artist in any sense of the word. Nothing but solid matches? Are we referring to the Lesnar match and the Bryan match? That must be it. If so, I can have a solid match with Lesnar if my agent wanted me to work that match. I just get thrown all over the ring and don't do shit until the end. A match against Bryan that goes any length of time is going to be solid in virtually any situation. Being pushed as a face and being booed in every one of those "solid" matches. Somehow faces the crowd actually liked at the time managed to go in and...continue being faces. Reigns didn't. His "horrendous" booking was only that he was booked as a face when people didn't want to cheer him. Nor do they now. They do sometimes on RAW in generic situations against people that don't matter just because it's a guy they recognize. We'll now watch him be booed against Bray Wyatt on PPV coming up. Look for him to get booed in the boo/yay punch exchange (the preferred scientific method on who is the face in a match =P)

Zack Ryder. He sold himself as this great talent with a great character and great mic skills with his YouTube show. Then when he's finally getting a push, dude can't a promo out for shit without resorting to his catchphrases, looked uncomfortable, and delivered some of the worst acting I ever seen. Dude was pretty much exposed as a meme who overly relied on multiple takes and his direction for his YouTube show.
He did deliver in the ring I give him credit for that.

Bray Wyatt. His charisma and his mic skills combined with the Wyatt Family gimmick made the audience take notice. This helps him get into big matches, which have either been mediocre or featured another worker who is well-known for regularly having great matches (Bryan and Cena, for example).
Dolph Ziggler. His promos and storyline abilities aren't good at all. His in-ring work is good enough to make people pay attention to him, but in terms of substance, is not quite good enough for him to be one of those "lets the wrestling do the talking" types like Cesaro or Tyson Kidd.
Randy Orton. I don't think this is really his fault, though. He's an old-school, plodding "match psychology" sort of wrestler and is really good at it, but in the spot-based style that has dominated WWE for most of his run, he struggles to produce exciting matches. The result is him being crazy over in promos and brawls because he's so skilled at working the crowds, yet getting crickets or jeers in PPV matches because he just doesn't fit in with in-ring product at all.

Miz is the first who came to mind. Despite being given more than he arguably earned, he never managed to measure up to many of his peers.

Bray Wyatt not succeeding isn't his fault, it's Creative's. They give him nothing of substance to the point that even winning matches doesn't help him.

I'd say Batista during most of his main event pushes when he was world champion. He had several lackluster PPV outings. He also had some really good matches too though.
I'm shocked no one has said HHH here. How many big epic WM matches has he had that tanked? I can think of at least the Jericho at WM 18, Orton, etc.
