Personally, I thinks it's an impossible choice.
If I channel surf and come upon any of these I never fail to finish, no matter what point in the story I find.
With a gun to my head I'd say Christmas Vacation, it'a never christmas without it.

Never seen European so between original and Christmas I give slight edge to Christmas but both are awesome movies

Vegas Vacation.
No, can't say that with a straight face.

My favorite is when they stayed home for a good, ol' fashioned, family Christmas. Probably in my top 10 favorite movies of all time.

Christmas Vacation is number one, with Vacation in a close second.
I saw Vegas Vacation a while ago and thought it was pretty good but no where as near as great as the other two.
And I've never actually saw European Vacation all the way through and not really in a rush to with so many other things to watch.

It was very strange for me when I found out there was a whole series aside from the Christmas Vacation. Still haven't seen any of them yet, don't plan to.

Christmas tops it. The orginal Vacation is a close second. European is my less favorite but I wouldn't say I wouldn't watch it but I hated who played the kids and that there wasn't no Cousin Eddy.

Vegas Vacation is actually my favorite, but that's probably because it was the first one I ever saw.

Vacation Vegas Vacation Christmas Vacation European Vacation
Personally never really cared for any of the following three movies with the exception of a few scenes.
The original is hilarious and follows a darker routine of what I was used to growing up. Family road trips always had their share of problems.
