So announcers saying certain things makes the product feel cheap but cutting back to a wrecked car angle in the middle of a great match the fans care about is just fine.

This list is a mix of good common sense suggestions and needless micro-managing.
I agree with what WWE is trying to do in theory with promoting their unique branding of terms and avoiding association with certain low brow elements of "rasslin" and whatnot that are poison to ad-rates, but when you get down to the details, a lot of the banned words are pointless and even harmful to the presentation. Belts aren't titles, and titles aren't belts. Etc....
That said, these banned words pop up all the time on air, so I don't really know how seriously to take this. Surely the guys who have tenure have more wiggle room around them than interchangeable rookie guys like Saxton who could pretty much be replaced by Siri and it would be hard to tell the difference.
I think maybe Vince just has weekly mental explosions and once he's mad about a new thing, he quickly forgets the last ten things he was mad about last week. These memos show plenty of evidence to that effect anyway.

One of the biggest problems I can foresee with making notes like this is that Vince seems to be a man who changes his mind everytime the wind changes direction. It must be a nightmare trying to keep up with Vince's constantly fluctuating whims and sudden dislikes on commentary.

"The business" was a banned word? Now you hear it 1000 times everytime Triple H or Steph is on screen. They say "this business" which is a totally different phrase

I guess it's my turn today to be "that guy", but this is literally just pictures of a few pieces of paper with writing on them. No logos, no copyright icons, absolutely nothing professional looking that a multi-million dollar corporation would have to stamp onto their letters. Yeah I know, typing up all of this just to pass it off as real would be incredibly pointless and time consuming, not to mention sad. On the other hand...this is Reddit we're talking about. I'm inclined to agree with you. But if it was legit could be an email that was printed. I know nowadays WWE send all correspondence to talent by email, not sure if it was the same in 2008

I like how it says to be "real" with you passion but then it tells you watch pre recorded matches beforehand and then force a change in voice tone at important moments. Super natural... Also JBL must have missed the part about not calling your partner and idiot and emasculating them. I hope it isn't real but it probably is. JBL's instructions are "Just don't soap rape anyone on live TV."

- 'Do not use the word hatred.' That cracks me up, reminds me of Paul Heyman on the ECW DVD - 'the network preferred "intense dislike"' Ha! This is what I thought of too The contradictions on this are quite amusing, it looks like at least four people had access to edit this document, including Vince, Stephanie and Kevin Dunn. It appears as if they don't check what has been written already before just adding their comments/notes.

The "don't say the audience is chanting for Matt Hardy" just broke my heart a tiny little bit...

Whenever the announcers use the term "medical facility", I assume it's a euphemism for "free clinic".

What was wrong with Hal Mumme's butt? Was there something about it that announcers couldn't help but mention if not directed against it? This was when he was at Southeastern La. During games there are multiple camera's filming and in your headset you constantly hear "switch to camera 4, camera 3 get ready, fade camera 4, camera 3 live in 3,2,1...." and so on. Anyway the week before during the pregame they were switching between cameras. The switched to the wrong (unmanned) camera and it was pointing (and zoomed in) straight on Hal Mumme's butt. The announcer jokingly said "nice butt" and they quickly switched cameras and the producer dropped a ton of F bombs. Luckily it wasnt during live shooting and they were just filming the pre-game packages so it didn't make air. I worked the game the next week and they added "Do not mention Hal Mumme's butt" on the production notes as a bit of a gag.

"Please never use the phrase "title changing hands" again. Titles are worn or lost, they don't change hands." Wow. Considering no one wears the f***ing thing anymore, but drags it around with them like luggage, not to mention they literally hand it to you, yes it does.

Seth Rollins wore his for the first week or two extremely high up on his chest as if it was superman's logo on his suit. I'm guessing he got a memo telling him to stop though
