My big brother is coming home from Europe in the Navy. My dad and I are going to be gone until Tuesday. My younger brother is staying with our mom. I don't know if I'll get to see any beaches, but its cool getting to have an actual Summer vacation. Last time I went anywhere was Chicago when he was getting out of boot camp. Hopefully this will be a good trip.

Which part of the State are you hitting up? As a Floridian, I personally cannot stand the humidity that the Summer brings, but lots of Tourist seem to love it.  |

Forgot to mention that last time I was in Florida was visiting my paternal grandparents back in 1999. I'll never forget because their house was where I watched Futurama for the very first time. Back then, it was fine but I remember seeing crazy stuff on the news even back then.

Mostly just enjoy the beautiful weather, the endless sights and sounds, the wealth of history and I guess aactually most of all try not to get your face eaten under an overpass by a naked guy, but the other stuff aswell

Yeah I'm up in Jacksonville as well. If you are in the Jacksonville area the best places to eat are Enza's, Metro Dinner, Marker 32, M Shack, and Uptown Kitchen.

Mayport. The Navy Lodge? I stayed ther. It's nice. The beach is out back. A water park right next door. The rest of the base (aside from the Golf course) is an over grown sewer. No disrespect. Just sayin. Ascetically it is lacking. The shopette reminds me of a 70's strip mall
