Man, and I thought WrestleMania had the market cornered on baffling endings.

Awesome episode besides the cliffhanger. They casted Negan perfectly

At least Negan looked cool and was perfectly menacing.

Wow, I'm in the UK and I stayed up till nearly 6am to watch that excuse of a wrestlemania and that pussy none-committal ending to WD. Subscription cancelled and sticking with the comics. What a shitty night. Someone hold me. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was great but god that episode blew besides that. The Carol/Morgan stuff is just tiring at this point and yet another cliffhanger is exhausting.

Seriously, I was more disappointed with this ending than anything at Wrestlemania.
Probably because I was looking forward to this more though.
At least Negan was a good character.

Isn't it kinda the point of a scene like that, to make the audience feel what the other characters are feeling, while watching one of their own get savagely murdered? And don't you lose that feeling by not showing who it is? And it's not even a good cliffhanger. It's almost certainly Daryl or Glenn. And if it isn't, who the f*** cares anyway?

I just need a hug. I was like 'ahh' I have an idea on who it might be {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Eugene,Glenn, Daryl, or Abraham. At first I thought Aaron, Sasha, Maggie or Michonne

Man F*** that, between that ending and WrestleMania being a total shit show, what a horrible day. I should learn not to have expectations for things...

{Spoiler}I believe you can rule out Sasha and Michonne. If they stick with Negan's comic book character aspects, Negan doesn't use brutal violence against women. To be completely honest I believe they went ahead and had it be Glenn.
It's the only one that makes sense. Especially if they go with Maggie becoming leader of the Hilltop Colony.

My manager and a few friends on Facebook said this was really insulting to the fans and the viewing audience. I actually agree too. You just don't build up Negan, get to his moment, and then have a cop out cliffhanger like that and expect people to be happy.
I think even on Talking Dead Kirkman, Reedus, and Morgan all kind of realized right then and there that they made a mistake. They were hardcore defending why they ended the episode the way they did.
One of the problems with this show is they never keep up the momentum. They could've easily had this be a two hour finale, get to the moment, and have it end with Negan walking away saying "ta ta" after revealing who met Lucille.

I liked the ending to the ep.
Say what you will, but for me it perfectly encapsulated that feeling of dread, frustration and hopelessness that Negan's character was sent in to instill.
By leaving the ending as a cliffhanger it left the viewer feeling just as impotent and at a loss as the characters did.

I thought it was a great episode, probably even one of the best.
Aside from the ending, because they've had enough cliff hangers this year already. And it completely lessens the punch to the gut feeling that Negan's debut in the comics gave you.
I think Abraham will be the one who got Lucilled. Just based on his optimistic conversation with Sasha in the RV, and his last conversation with Eugene.

Absolute bullshit ending. Completely took me out of the show. The rest of the episode was great, really building up the dread, and now that feeling of dread is totally gone from that lame ass ending. And this after the bullshit with Glenn in the midseason finale!
I thought we were going to see Eugene get killed in the RV, and then have someone get bashed by Negan after that.

The ending is retarded. Now instead of a summer of everyone going 'holy f***ing god, Negan, oh god I feel sick, what a f***er' we get 'ooooooo who was it, who was it!'. Totally eclipses Negan's introduction.
Plus it's not like they'll he able to keep who died a secret. Whoever isn't seen on set when it starts filming again next month.
They tried to be clever to subvert comic readers' expectations. There was no need. Walking Dead finale's sure do suck.
