The ending is retarded. Now instead of a summer of everyone going 'holy f***ing god, Negan, oh god I feel sick, what a f***er' we get 'ooooooo who was it, who was it!'. Totally eclipses Negan's introduction. Plus it's not like they'll he able to keep who died a secret. Whoever isn't seen on set when it starts filming again next month. They tried to be clever to subvert comic readers' expectations. There was no need. Walking Dead finale's sure do suck. Totally agree with you. In the age of the internet, how the hell are they supposed to keep this shit a secret? It won't be long before casting schedules get posted. It was just f***ing dumb. They screwed up what could've been the greatest episode this season. I know it's just a show, but I invested a lot of time in it and feel cheated. Probably the most memorable episode, but for all the wrong reasons.

By the way, is Enid still in the closet?

That episode totally didn't need the extra run time. Outside of the last 10-15 minutes nothing really happened

Oh, we should also point out the Kingdom soldiers and their armor. I always wondered how that would translate from the graphic novel.

Great episode until the end.
I'm so pissed off. They ruined the biggest moment from the comics.

That's what happens when they'd the final scene set in stone before anything else was written. Loads of wheel spinning and just killing time. I personally would've completely changed the pacing of the episode and left it 45 min run time. Have the cold open be everyone preparing to leave, and when you come back from the opening credits I would've jumped straight into the Carol/Morghan arc/Kingdom setup. Spend your first 10 minutes or so telling that story without drawing it out so badly. Then spend 5-10 minutes in the camper, allowing for a few little personal connection moments, and only having 1 roadblock. Introduce Negan right around the midway point of the episode, let him have his awesome monologue, have the Lucille scene and actually f***ing reveal who dies, and spend the last 5 minutes of the episode just letting what happened sink in while the rest of the group reacts. They had 7 f***ing episodes of build up for the Saviours, there was no need to have this whole episode basically be build up for the last 10 minutes

The one big change for me personally would be to reveal the death, then the cliffhanger being the group being left in despair over what had just happen, with the audience wondering how the hell they're going to recover.

Avoiding spoilers, quick question I'm in America for Wrestlemania, when can I watch a replay of last night's episode? I can see it's not available on demand.

Fire Russo! Clap clap clap clap
Seriously, that ending was bullshit. Should have shown someone getting their head caved in, make it bloody, gruesome and unforgettable. It could have been one of TVs most memorable moments. Instead it was shit.

Those last few seconds reminded me of The Joe Peaci Show skit from SNL. He'd end every show by beating the camera with a bat. Wow, they f***ed that up.

I will say, despite the shitty cliffhanger, JDM is perfect as Negan.
His whole scene was awesome until the cliffhanger.

The most brutal scene in the comics, the ONE thing I've been looking forward to since I read it, was completely ruined by another f***ing cliffhanger. Doesn't this show have enough fake-outs and cliffhangers as it is? f*** this bullshit show.

The controversial cliffhanger is getting plenty of coverage and the producers and JDM are even addressing ithe backlash in interviews.

JDM has nothing to apologise for. He (pun intended) completely knocked it out of the park.
Scott Gimple on the other hand is a complete hack who thinks cliffhangers and fake outs are great storytelling techniques, when they are lazy and insulting.
