But but his reactions have improved! I was lead to believe that means he's ready to carry the company for the next 10 years!

I think he'll get a decent split on the crowd, unless he's facing Big Show or Kane or someone lame like that and he'll get most of the (not many) cheers. If he faces Rollins or Wyatt though, they'll get cheered pretty well.

Reigns looks at the crowd, makes a half smile, shrugs his shoulders, and we continue.

According to WON, WWE is hoping fans won't boo Reigns at Summerslam but given where it is they think it can happen easily.

At this point no matter the reaction he goes out there and puts on good matches at each PPV. People are booing him just to boo him now. Eventually something will give.

They don't seem to still be giving him the rocket push so I don't think he will get that much heat.

Let's be honest, has Reigns even been booed vociferously like at Royal Rumble in Philly and WM31 at Levi's Stadium since then?

This is kinda true, there's really not much about him to boo anymore. He's not cutting terrible promos anymore, he's not getting Superman-booked (though he's still yet to lose a singles match clean, I believe), and his matches are solid. I like his style where it's not a movefest, since he doesn't really have many moves. He can brawl though.

He's improved a lot and the fact that majority of us are in agreement in saying his PPV matches are pretty good has shown major strides compared to 6 months ago. Though he hasn't lost a singles match clean he's still doing well

Let's be honest, has Reigns even been booed vociferously like at Royal Rumble in Philly and WM31 at Levi's Stadium since then? It's the darndest thing, sometimes on Raw he was getting lots of heat. But on Smackdown? It's like Jesus came back and was handing out free puppies, they LOVE the guy! But seriously, he hasn't gotten a huge negative reaction in a while. Good for him and WWE for turning that around, I'm pretty impressed honestly. He does get some apathy on his signature stuff though, I think because he's all running strikes that are awkwardly strung together sometimes.

The reason people are still booing him even after falling out of the main event picture is because if they don't, WWE will immediately think it's a great idea to resume the megapush.
It's the way the fans have chosen to tell WWE that they don't want Roman Reigns as the next top star. And let's not act like Reigns has become a jobber or something. He's still the most protected guy on the roster, and has been involved in the main event for six of 2015's seven months.
He was clearly portrayed as the favourite for MITB and would have won if Wyatt hadn't screwed him over.

As someone who likes Reigns and has been trying to go to SummerSlam, I'll say this. Reigns is going to get a horrible reaction at SummerSlam, but not entirely because its New York.
SummerSlam tickets were essentially not available to the general public. They technically were but with some caveats. The majority of the tickets were sold via presales on Ticketmaster that most people did not know about, you could only buy 2 tickets maximum, and sold out almost immediately. No casual fan will have gotten a ticket via this. The rest of the tickets sold out in under a second the day they came out due to there be so little left (as well as bots I'm assuming). So most tickets either ended up in the hands of the really hardcore fans OR on second hand markets like StubHub. The tickets on StubHub are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. Most tickets are being put up for 3 times the value and have not gone down a dime since tickets went on sale. No casual fan is going to spend three hundred, nor family is going to spend thousands of dollars to sit in the nosebleeds to watch SummerSlam. Now you may think that I'm just assuming things, but to my understanding this is exactly what happened with the Royal Rumble tickets. Considering how that crowd was that night, I have no doubt that SummerSlam will be similar.
It's unfortunate too because Reigns has definitely been winning people over, but there are still some parts of the country that will refuse to accept him out of principle. I think he COULD win over New York, but given the actual landscape of WHO will be at the show, it won't happen at SummerSlam.

Just like in Chicago right? Granted i was in the crowd at Extreme Rules and i really thought Reigns was gonna get booed but because of the tables and other objects used he actually got a lot of people to change sides and get people to cheer him and enjoy that Last Man Standing Match

Reigns can continue being booked like this for the next two years of winning some matches and losing the big matches while improving steadily in the ring and Ambrose and Rollins being multiple time WWE Champions and people will complain he's being overpushed and shoved down our throats when he gets a big push again.
