Peter Jackson's LotR and Hobbit films are over long boring and just bad films.
Geoff Johns is a major reason why comic book sales are so bad.
Morrison's All Star Superman was bad. Decent artwork, but the writing was crap.
Soundgarden put out on good album,Badmotorfinger. Superunknown was horrible.
Tupac is one of the most over-rated rappers so far.

The Lion King isn't even close to being Disney's best movie.

The 80s SW cartoons, Droids and Ewoks, are better than Clone Wars and Rebels GMTV from 1994-1998 was better than TV-AM's entire duration The Chiles/Bleakly era of Daybreak wasn't a bad fit. So far, DC's Convergence is better than Marvel's plodding and pedestrian Secret Wars event, which is being saved strictly by a few tie-ins.

Peter Jackson's LotR and Hobbit films are over long boring and just bad films. Geoff Johns is a major reason why comic book sales are so bad. I don't think at this point the second one's even really so much an unpopular opinion. The guy got too much power, is writing a ton of characters he has no clue how to write, and is more interested in feeding his own ego and having his own universe than he is in making a story fit a universe or in leaving something for future writers to explore. As for Jackson... I've only seen the first two Lord of the Rings movies (both multiple times), only way I will ever watch the Hobbit is if it's the book-accurate edit someone did, but those... Yeah, I think they're very well made, they are boring as f***.

Some of these are general public, some are more here-specific:
Scott Stapp is a tool but Creed was a solid band overall and don't deserve the crap they get.
Man of Steel was great. I liked Watchmen too.
Didn't like Rent. Thought the songs were hit-and-miss and the main two guys were just plain annoying.
Thought Sean of the Dead was way overrated, it was alright but hardly wowed me. Maybe I set myself up by having too high of expectations, didn't expect a lot out of Hot Fuzz and ended-up enjoying it more.
Didn't see the big deal about The Avengers or Winter Soldier. I didn't dislike them by any stretch, just didn't think they lived up to the hype.
I liked RIPD, ya it's kind of like MiB but lots of movies are kind of like something else. For that matter give-up the "Battle Royale did it first and better" crap. Hunger Games is no more a rip-off of Royale than Royale is of Lord of the Flies. Themes/basic ideas get re-used all the time. Sometimes it's on purpose, sometimes not, ultimately it gets down to your execution and how well you flesh things out.
I like Big Bang Theory
Most of the Cracked isn't very funny, it's mainly snarky and pretentious.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the best HP movie and it's because the Director was simply trying to make an entertaining film that captures the magic of the book and not make something for the people who read the novel that was verbatim a book adaptation.

Joe Quesada is a hack and a loser. He doesn't deserve his place in the comic book industry and needs to be removed and ostracized. I thought this was about unpopular opinions. On topic: Green Lantern, while a bit bloated, wasn't that bad a movie. I've always said it's biggest problem is that it tried to fit way too much into a single movie. IF they didn't try to cram what could easily fill a trilogy into a single movie it would have been fine.

-I think the Star Wars franchise is overrated, and I was bored to tears trying to watch one of the movies (don't remember which one) -The more recent seasons of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia have largely been crap, whereas Season 1 was amazing (most of their fans think the opposite) -Foo Fighters have some good songs, but they are EXTREMELY overrated and Dave Grohl is NOT the 'last true rockstar'. People just aren't looking hard enough. -Walking Dead has gotten worse and worse as the show has gone on, and Jon Bernthal was the best actor they had (maybe that's part of the reason it sucks badly now). Also, Daryl is a boring, one-dimensional character, whereas Ed (Carol's husband) was one of the better characters and should have lived longer. -The Human Centipede trilogy is one of the greatest works in the horror genre, and Part 3 is every bit as good as the other 2. -BTTF 3 was the best of the trilogy.

-I really liked 'Last Action Hero' and believe that most people who hate it don't understand the self-awareness of the film (meant to be a cheesy film that pokes fun at the action genre). -Soundgarden, and Chris Cornell, are very overrated. He doesn't have a good voice, just a unique one that people seemed to gravitate toward. Also, their best work was on 'Down on the Upside'. 'Badmotorfinger' was spotty, and 'Superunknown' was largely crap (except for a couple of songs). Additionally, "Black Hole Sun" is one of the most boring and god-awful songs ever. -Audioslave was boring and had no redeeming qualities. They shouldn't have ever formed. Not sure how unpopular this is, as I really don't hear people say that they like them. -From a human standpoint, John Lennon is one of the biggest pieces of crap who has ever lived, with how he treated the opposite sex, and he tried to disguise this fact with his whole 'peace' angle. Personally, I don't think the world lost anything with his death. -Mike Myers' best film is 'Wayne's World' (a fact that many agree with), but his second-best was 'So I Married an Axe Murderer...' -The Beatles are one of the most overrated bands in history. -Taking their entire discography, and technical skills into account, I think Megadeth is much better than Metallica.

-Metallica is not the "greatest band of all time," no matter how often my hometown rock radio station claims it is. Only the Black Album was truly great. As a whole, Guns n' Roses and Stone Temple Pilots, among others, are far superior. -On a similar note, Nirvana is overrated. The band had a couple of good songs, but that's it. -Limp Bizkit generally sucks and sounds dated... but "My Way" is one of the best songs of its era. -"The Big Bang Theory" is one of the best shows on network television. I think it has peaked, but it's had its share of really good episodes and moments. -"The Middle" is the most underrated sitcom on the air right now. It should have at least been considered for a few Emmy nominations by now. -Season four of "My Name Is Earl" was almost every bit as good as season one. But I am with the majority in saying that the third season couldn't have gone much worse. -"Frasier" was about ten times more entertaining than "Friends." -"Family Guy" was at its best right when it came back in 2005. The next year was when it hit the skids.

Classic TV series from the '60s - Gilligan's Island, The Addams Family, The Beverly Hillbillies, Get Smart, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, My Favorite Martian, etc. - need to be resurrected as animated series. The first Austin Powers movie was brilliant, but the 2nd and 3rd were pure trash. It's like they said, "Well, we used up all the good James Bond parody jokes in the first one, so we might as well just make the sequels nothing but dong and poop jokes.". For the latter, YES. YESYESYESYESYES. I've been saying this for 15 years. Both AP sequels were mere caricatures of the first, and became nothing but catchphrase Mad Libs. (I should have mentioned in the wrestling thread that Rock was the same whenever he worked as a face between 1998-2000, and that him and face Austin were caricatures of what made them popular in the first place) For the former, may I present...

The worst entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are still superior to Man of Steel.
I liked the twist in Iron Man 3.
I'm not too keen on the lyrical buttrock of past Sonic games.
Even as someone whose first exposure to DBZ was the original FUNI dub, I still think Shinsuke Kikuchi's music is way better than Bruce Faulconer's (that said, there are couple Faulconer cues I like).

Peter Jackson's LotR and Hobbit films are over long boring and just bad films. I didn't bother with the rest of the Hobbit series when I saw that the first was just one extended fart joke.
