Which ones are your favorite. I've been playing Streets of Rage 2 on the 3ds and man is that game fantastic. Also the Scott Pilgrim vs the World game is pretty grand too.

I'm always partial to the Simpsons arcade game or the old D&D one... was it Tower of Mystdia or something like that?

These types of games are among my favorites as I grew up playing stuff like Streets of Rage and Final Fight, as well as The Simpsons arcade game and the TMNT games. If I have to pick which ones I liked the most, I would go with Streets of Rage 2 and the original Final Fight. Also, I liked Double Dragon Neon.

At the end of the day, I think Beat em ups were my favorite genre. Any of the super hero arcade games I remember loving: X-men, Spiderman, Captain America and the Avengers, Superman, all the TMNT games, ect. I also loved the two Dungeons and Dragons games, especially after I learned how to play them better thanks to being downloadable from Playstation Network. Streets of Rage 2 and Goldenaxe 2 are also old favorites. I loved Double Dragon 2: The Revenge and consider it to be the best of the whole series, followed very closely by Double Dragon Neon (I'm still stunned and saddened that they never made a sequel to Neon).

I still love the first Streets of Rage. I played it a few months back for the first time in years and even though it's "old" it was still fun as hell.

WWF Betrayal lol Nah just kidding, even tho I'd say it's ok still and not horrible for being a gbc beat em up.
My favorite is easily streets of rage 2, I've always wanted streets of rage 3 but never splurged what people usually want on ebay, well a month ago I saw it at the flea market near me and got it for only 5 bucks.

If you have a ps3 there is a collection that has it on there plus one and two. I love the whole streets of rage series

The Streets of Rage Remake is awesome, really setting the bar for fan games, and is worth tracking down.

I don't know anything about Dungeons and Dragons except what a gelatinous cube is and does.
but I saw D&D: Shadow Over Mystara on a list of underrated brawlers and tried it. It is *awesome*. Great graphics, great designs, and the six characters are extremely varied and have all sorts of fun shit to use for killing goblins and owlbears. I love it when brawlers have movesets as detailed as a 2-player fighter.

Most of my favourites have already been mentioned, but I'm also incredibly fond of Batman Returns on the SNES, which was a damn fine game, as well as Michael Jackson's Moonwalker on the Genesis.

As an old NES/SNES head I had tons of fun with Double Dragon, Battletoads (NES), Turtles In Time (tons of fun, just a tad too easy), TMNT 1&2 (NES), all SNES Street Fighter II versions (Turbo being my fave) and MK II and III (MK I had only 8 fighters and was really difficult)
Also enjoyed Tekken the few times I played it on PS

I wish Gundam Wing or G Gundam had gotten one, both would have been perfect for it.

I know it is an unpopular opinion, but for pre SF2 fighting games on home consoles, Pitfighter on the Genesis/MD was a very good game. Had a Bloodsport vibe to it. The Arcade game was also very good. The SNES version is another story.

Going to break the retro and suggest Spartan: Total Warrior which is a great modernish beat em up on the GameCube.
Also Castle Crashers!!

The usual fare of Streets of Rage, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Golden Axe.
But further back in time, I loved IK Karate. The backdrops and music were stunning.
