Pizza. I come from Illinois, the land of the greatest pizza (suck it, New York!). So I'm always comparing other pizza to our heavenly deep dish. we will not suck it , what you call pizza really isnt pizza . m.youtube.com/watch?v=BrqSizC-T-4

Music, sometimes. Movies, sometimes. Wrestling, like once when I was 19.

The Spelunker! has a point. Is it really snobbish if you try to get people you like interested into the things you like? I always promote stuff like New Japan to friends trying to get into wrestling or recommend movies like Whiplash or Ex Machina.

It depends on how you do it Just recommending something, like "_________ is good, I think you'd like it," is fine Bashing something they enjoy and then recommending they like what you like because "its better" is snobbish

Horror movies.
Every other genre I fall into the "will give almost anything a chance" category with, but I've been a big horror fan for years and I kind of have a guideline of what is and isn't acceptable in the genre.
And yes, I'm one of those "most modern horror is trash" kinds.
Like the guy above me said though, it's only really snobbish if you look down on people who have different opinions than you, and I try not to do that.

Spelling. The internet is a communication medium. When you don't bother to check your spelling and have a string of stupid errors it says to me that you don't respect the people you're talking to. You're not willing to go through the bare minimum of effort to engage with them properly. This leaves out tiny, stupid typos and stuff of course. No offence but it sort of bugs me when people take this attitude towards strangers on message boards because not everyone using it speaks English as a first language, also some people are dyslexic. I get hating 'txt spk' and so on though.

We are but humble shepherds leading the gentle sheep to the promised lands of puroresu, hai. Nah, I'm just kidding. I've gotten one of my friends super into NJPW. He knew I loved wrestling but tend to dislike WWE which is what he tried watching but wasn't really feeling. After explaining to him why I'm so into wrestling and talking about my favorite wrestlers, matches, and stories, most of which were non-WWE, he gave it a shot. Not only did he catch all of the G1 with me this year and the last but he actually went out of his way to learn more about it. Reading up on his favorites, watching old matches, everything. That was a lot of fun. However, he himself has kind of turned into an admitted snob because the backlog of classics and consistent great matches they've been putting out for a while now have spoiled him. In his own words, he can't even get turned on unless it's **** minimum and/or in the Tokyo Dome. As for myself, when it comes to wrestling, I'll admit I'm a bit snobbish but only over stuff like if people ONLY watch WWE and won't look further even if they're unhappy with the product, or think ONLY WWE matters, or think of NXT as separate from WWE. Things like that. I think that's a little goofy. I personally prefer puro most of the time but when WWE is on all cylinders there's nothing in the world like it. It's a completely different appeal.

Soda. I will absolutely not drink generic brands. it actually irks me when there is a get together, and someone brings very cheap soda. The lesser brand names vary depending on my taste. I am partial to Cactus Cooler and Jones soda.

I'm guilty of being snobbish against modern horror, because yeah. You already know. But I usually apologize after hearing myself.

You're not willing to go through the bare minimum of effort to engage with them properly. This leaves out tiny, stupid typos and stuff of course. To sort of go along with this, fact checking and sourcing when posting "news" or attempting to argue something. If you don't have a cohesive base to start a discussion with, I'll generally just end up ignoring you. ^^This for sure. I can't stand when people in their 40's spell basic words that we learned in elementary school, the wrong way. Most phones have spell check now, it shouldn't even remotely be an issue now. But you'd be surprised.... Oh, and fact checking. Holy shit. My brain wants to explode when I see people post stuff, that with a simple Google check, and a basic amount of common sense, would show them that what they're posting is 100% false, and they take it as gospel. And then when you SHOW them the actual facts, they STILL maintain that they were correct. I am also a snob about coffee, and cosmetics. I prefer a particular type of coffee in the pour over method with bamboo filters and cold brew coffee over everything else. And with cosmetics, the quality of the cosmetics matter much more than the quantity, and the name stamped on the product. I won't get into that though. because I'll go on about it all damn day.

Beer, basically since I started drinking it. I never enjoyed the tastes of the "macro" breweries; even in college, when my housemates would get kegs of whatever was cheapest, I would go grab a six pack of something from a microbrewer (I was lucky enough to have a job in college, which made that a lot easier to do).

I guess the one thing I'd probably fall under is Donuts. Tallahassee has this local place call Donut Kingdom that is phenominal and has completely ruined Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme for me.

I'm "secretly" snobby about a lot of things but the only one I'm outright snobby about is smoking. Keep your disgusting smoke away from me and my clean living, thanks. The only thing I'm snobby about is that I refuse to hang out with people that act that way about smokers.

Style.
Definitely style. I don't like seeing a man or woman in their 40's dressing like a teenager.
And just in general, wear stuff that fits.
Look presentable when you leave your home.
Music, TV, Movies, video games? Enjoy what you like. I like thought provoking stuff, and I like dumb "turn off your brain" stuff.
Just dress properly.

To be quite frank, I think being snobby about music is silly. Well, any form of entertainment really. I personally didn't enjoy rap. At all. If you asked me 10 years ago what I thought of it, I'd go on a tangent on how much I despised it, but I've grown to like some of it such as Eazy E. God, I love some Eazy E. However, that doesn't mean I'm gonna look down on dudes who do like it, I never did even then.
With art there is no right or wrong answer. Some people can look at something and see a masterpiece, others will see just a mess of lines. I like what I like, and you like what you like..there is no right or wrong answer in art. There is no best nor is their a worst, that's what makes it fun.
Sure there's a general consensus, but I still don't consider it the "correct" answer.
I don't mean to keep making posts like this, but eh...

Memes.
Especially those on FB that people share - mainly involving a Minion - where the quote makes no sense to the picture, but because it has a Minion on it people will share it around.
It annoys me.
