They where basically the only storyline leading up to BFG 2014, here we are almost a year later and I STILL don't get why James Storm went from a beer drinking redneck to a...cult leader?
Can anyone explain?

I don't think the TNA writers themselves know what the Revolution is meant to be and what their purpose is.
Two companies. Two revolutions. Zero logic in either one.

This is the same question all of us have been asking since they were first introduced.

From what I've gathered, they're a shitty fraternity led by a dude that's like 10 years older than everyone else and probably one of the dude's uncles.

I think they intended to copy the Wyatt family with the small problem that the WWE didn't explain what the Wyatt family were supposed to be. Without WWE to copy the TNA writers were left with writers block.
Tbf the theme is good and Storm has done his best to make it work despite being stuck with crappy stablemates and storylines.

Like the poster above said it was the year they basically copied major WWE storylines.
Eric Young and Daniel Bryan, hell even Dixie said that she own the beard. African American evolution. James Storm leading a shifty version of the Wyatt family. This is minor, but around the time the WWE signed KENTA to a contract, TNA announced that Tajiri was gonna work a couple of the New York shows.
I think that they tried to fool new viewers into thinking they were watching another WWE show.
Another thing they never explained of the revolution was their endgame, their reason to be. To this day I still don't get why Storm feuded with Magnus. Well at least the revolution is dead with Storm going to GFW.

It seemed for awhile like James Storm's way of striking back at feeling neglected as a top contender or something, and it had potential when, as a cult leader, he was actually getting converts.
They've given up the ghost on developing it well beyond that, though.

It was the oddest damn cult. A redneck, some guy in a lucha costume, a big, fat goof and a Indian steroid enthusiast.

I honestly believe the point of the Revolution is merely to waste another top guy by having him do a stupid angle. Bear in mind that this is par for the course in TNA, as our current IWGP Heavyweight Champion was O-Kato when he was with this company of morons.

If TNA really wanted to copy WWE, he'd be feuding with one of the Hardys or with Mr. Anderson just to keep them busy. They've been giving Storm and the Revolution actual things to do. They aren't being used as a deus ex machina or as busy work for directionless top faces.

It was the poor man's version of the Wyatt family. There hasn't been a payoff on their storylines, Magnus left the company, soon it won't even matter and the storyline will be left inconclusive after Storm leaves for GFW. James Storm has been going trough the motions ever since he turned heel and started feuding with Gunner, he became irrelevant.

It means TNA still likes stealing dying WCW stable names (remember Team Canada, redux?)
Oh, and there's only one real revolution #RIR

To think they had a working relationship with njpw...now even shitty world 1 tells them to f*** off.
