We're now eight months into 2k15, and there are now plenty of pop songs ripe for discussion.
My favorite pop single of the year may be "I Really Like You" by Carly Rae Jepsen. I wish it were a bigger hit in the States. I generally enjoy Carly Rae's music, and her latest album is pretty great. She's just got this way of singing that captures romantic love at its most daydreamy, quirky, and flush-faced intimate all at once.
Oh, and if I had to choose my least favorite, it's probably a close race between "Pretty Girls" by Britney & Iggy Azalea and "Honey I'm Good" by Andy Grammar. The former is all-around terrible, but it thankfully stalled on the charts. The latter isn't sonically the worst song, but the lyrics make me cringe and the fact it's such a big hit further adds to my frustration.
So, what song is your favorite, if you have one at all?

Probably "My Way" by Fetty Wap, if you want to count crossover hip-hop among pop singles. If not then Can't Feel My Face or Bad Blood.

Since 'I Really Like You' has already been mentioned I'll go for 'King' by Years & Years.

For me, "Want To Want Me" by Jason Derilo. Terrible video, catchy tune.

This seems like a good place to ask, since it's not really enough warrant a thread, but are there any pop hits out these days without tons of vocal effects all the time? A lot of pop music is decent, but the vocals are produced is just tiresome imo. A great part of hearing someone sing is hearing the small nuances to their voices, the way the breath comes through their throat, and all the effects completely wash that away.

I would like to add "When I Rule the World" by LIZ to the list.
YouTube it (I'm on my phone and my coding is shit). It's Gwen Stefani meets QT and it's stupid and catchy as hell.

Okay, I'll now add this to the list of my favorites:
The lighting in the video reminds me of Suspiria for some reason, so of course I dig it.

Since I've laid down several hundreds of dollars to see her at the Sprint Center in a few weeks.... Bad Blood though 1989 is still my least favorite album of hers.

A ton of the folk pop doesn't go this route. Pretty much all of Sheppard's album is straight up or mostly so. And also my favorite album this year.
