I feel like the "The Divas Revolution, You Guys" thread pretty much covers this. To be fair Im talking about tonight in particular especially with this Thread.

From what I saw of the Miz TV segment (and yes, I FFed through a bunch of it) it seems that the problem they are already falling into with Charlotte and Becky Lynch is that they're making them the same bitchy WWE diva characters that everyone else is. I dare say what the division needs most is someone like Bayley, who is the most saccharine sweet babyface ever. At least I KNOW I am supposed to cheer her. Everyone else? It's like some reality TV drama queen shades of gray crap. See this? That's not how Charlotte and especially Becky act. Let alone in that segment from what I see. It's horrible. I'm tired of this bullshit.

They gave them 15 minutes tonight and 15 minutes on pay-per-view. How else are they supposed to bring the girls up without having them fight the current divas? and if they just completely job the current divas out to them, then the new divas have no one to wrestle so that gets us nowhere either. Time isn't the only thing the Divas need. Bayley/Sasha wasn't just a great match because it went 20 minutes; it was a great match because it told a story, involving distinct, developed characters, and had a wonderful, emotional conclusion. What story is the Diva Revolution telling? What are PCB and the Bellas and Team BAD's characters? Why should crowds, whether it's Brooklyn or wherever, care?

I don't know how this angle went from having so much promise to giving us two of the most miserably boring matches of the year 2 days in a row, but it certainly managed something. The juxtaposition of seeing this post, and then seeing Bayley with the NXT Women's title in your sig is quite jarring.

What do we do? The execution isn't working out, but if we give up on it, it'll just prove them right and we'll never get that change. But I understand that we can't really be encouraging the execution in the process, otherwise they'll keep going that way with it.

I'm a fan. I don't resent them. They shouldn't have to carry all the weight whenever the fans don't like a match or a segment doesn't go over as expected. People need to realize even their NXT golden girls contribute to the negative things as well. You're in the minority then. Fans live and online have resented the diva division for years for a reason. We all know that's simply a fact. It's been the annoying piss break segment of shows for years. Let's be honest, that's the stigma we see and have mostly all said. We're at a strange time though because fans are BEGGING WWE to treat it with more respect and quit having it be that piss break. NXT's women division has made womens wrestling exciting and fans want to see it on a bigger stage. They want to have that equal footing with men. WWE has one foot in the door and one out, it has to make a choice here on which way to take the division. Yeah, but the Bellas haven't always been there. If all the online fans have such contempt for the Divas Division, why shouldn't we blame other Divas? People have treated Divas matches as "piss-breaks" for a long time and it's not just because of Nikki and Brie. Some of us actually do enjoy the Divas and have for a long time. I don't need every Divas match to be a 15 minute 5-star classic to enjoy it.

IMO they screwed it up from the start. None of these teams feel like legitimate teammates. They're just together because teacher assigned them to each other. Then ever since then they just wrestle in meaningless combinations of singles, and tag matches that don't achieve anything. A revolution needs to have a goal, and needs to have a clear sense of oppression from a tangible source. Nothing about this revolution has properly established that. It's just another buzzword Stephanie can spew out along with her other thousand corporate slang terms as she tries to ride off the back of the women who are actually putting the sweat in.

You let them get their characters over, have more than one feud and stop relying on things that have failed to gain a following. You don't just throw 3 girls in the division, tell people it is different now and walk away dusting your hands off. WWE actually has to put some effort in and not just walk away from a job they they didn't even start and claim it to be finished.

But since there are at least three separate threads talking about displeasure with the angle, we'd be better served with an All-Purpose "The Divas Revolution Sucks" Thread.

I think one of the worst parts of this revolution is the idea that the whole divas roster is a part of it. That should have never been the case. When the status quo is part of the "revolution", it's not a revolution. Status quo vs New Blood/Revolution. For there to be a Revolution, there must be a status quo to fight against. And every single person who COULD have represented that (Team Bellas, Authority) believe they are part of the "revolution", if not leading it. Incompetency and selfishness. Seems like nobody but Miz wanted to be the true villain of the storyline. Also a revolution cannot be instigated by corporate management. Wait, are you trying to tell me that Marie Antoinette wasn't the leader of the French Revolution?

It's done with, completely done with. It needs to be redone.
Strip Nikki of the title and have a tournament for the winner of the belt. Make Nikki Bella NOT be in the finals, have it be Sasha/Charlotte (or Sasha/Becky) and watch the girls tear it up and put on a classic. Nikki cannot go like they can go but regardless this Revolution is a f***ing bust. I'm tired of this crap.

So long as the current regime's in charge, it's not going to change, so don't pretend to like what they're doing, keep using NXT as a refuge, and hope when Triple H and Stephanie take over things get better. For now it's hopeless.

Yeah its not like I don't want to see these girls fighting in longer matches and getting the exposure they deserve, but there is no forward traction there is no development there is no NOTHING. It's girls going out there fighting random matches for no gain because REVOLUTION
As someone said in the RAW Thread "I went from a Women's Match that literally made me cry at Takeover, to this shit." and that sums up the difference in caring and booking from NXT to WWE

At least we don't know who half the participants are dating, so we avoided another "You Suck ____" chant.
Edit: And apparently Becky is the wacky one, now? With ramblings of Ghosts, Dragons, and Robot Cyborgs. Poor girl.

I disagree with scrapping it. Just adjust it, quickly but logically.
Break the teams up over the next few weeks, out of frustrations because The Dominant Bellas.
Drop the insistent Divas Revolution talk, and especially don't have any of them mention it.
And now that the audience is getting conditioned to having longer womens' matches, throw a 15 minute Sasha vs. Charlotte match out there and see if they can get the crowd.
If it doesn't work, try it again for a few weeks. If it doesn't after that, well I'm not getting paid so I'm not figuring it out beyond that.
My point is, don't just say f*** it and nuke the whole thing, just change the approach, figure out how to make it work.

People sure like to blame the Bellas whenever something goes wrong with the Divas. They're the face of the division. Strike that, they're the face of what fans resent about the division. Resent, but can't help but be attracted to.
