I get all monthly bills payed off right away, try to not waste money on what I don't need and once the next pay check comes I put what's left of the last one in a bank account where I physically have to visit the bank to get access to it.

I buy items used. I was able to buy five seasons of The Simpsons used for what it would have cost me to get one season new.
I also use a cheap tracfone. It ends up being about $7/month.

Each paycheck I've been putting between $50 to $200 in a separate bank account that just sits and grows until the end of the year. Then I buy lotto tickets with it.
One day it'll pay off.

Phone plan connected to my grocery store reward card, I get 20 free minutes for every $100 spent in groceries. Considering I shop for 3 people, I usually get at least that every week. And I pay $10 for 50 minutes/texts a month beyond that, and incoming texts are free so I only pay for the ones I send. It works for me, since I don't use my phone TOO much.

I'm on med leave because of back problems. My birthday is a couple of days away. My wife asks me what I want, or what I want to do. I told ner nothing. No trip, no restaurant , no present, no card. Nothing .

I only venture out on weekends now a days.
Use to go out all the time, but I see staying indoors during the weekday has helped save me loads of money

Don't drive, don't have a phone contract (I have £10 credit every month with Tesco Mobile, which they give me an extra £20 free credit), bought my first smartphone last month (a Lumia 510, which I ended up only paying £4 for after exchanging stuff), haven't bought a next-gen yet (aside from the Wii U, which I got for £180 last year), work at CeX so I can return anything I buy within two weeks, shop at Aldi and Lidl, don't buy designer brands. It's very easy to save money when you don't give a crap about status symbols.
