Late May thru Mid June 2000 is hurting my thinking thingy. Ric Flair Beats Jeff Jarrett to win the wcw title then has a heart attack. Russo just gives Jarrett the belt back. Nash beats Jarrett to win the wcw title. Nash hands Flair back the title because flair never lost it and Nash cares about heart health. Flair then loses the title to Jarrett. Kanyon reveals that his spinal cord injuries from being thrown off the triple cage onto the ramp were fake and all a plan. Mike Awesome can Teleport. He has a wild brawl with The Wall then they cut backstage to a fully clothed Awesome carrying Ric Flair's casket. Kim tries to spray Miss Hancock with perfume but she sprays herself in the face and Hancock sells it.

The ads that air for nitro and thunder on those shows in 2000 are odd. One for nitro is clearly from 96/97 with Luger doing a photoshoot with clips of his racking of foes. Then the generic ones for Nitro & Thunder show like 99% old clips: 97/98 Hulk Posing 98 Sting beating up the NWO 98 Bret Hart smirking 97 Luger racking geeks The only newer clips are Kimberly stripping in a hotel room from 99 and Liz covered in mud also from 99. Sting and Hulk are the only 2 in those ads still on the shows.

On the go-home show to WCW Sin, Disco Inferno on commentary mockingly mentioned that DDP had started doing yoga. Wonder if anything ever came of that....

Two Steve Lombardi matches in the same episode of Prime Time Wrestling? What were they thinking? People would PAY for that!

I've heard people on here claim that wcw gets good in 2000 when does that happen cause I'm almost in July and saying it's terrible is giving it too much praise?
Also I just watched the Nitro with Ric Flair vs Russo in a Hell in a Cell this 2 hour show went thru 3 to 6 months worth of stuff it's just too much when I was done I have forgotten my last 8 birthdays and Long Division.....I liked Long Division.

After Russo got injured and went home around October and they stopped playing hot potato with the belts there's an uptick in quality. I don't know if I'd call it good, but it's better.

Chavo Guerrero is literally the best thing about WCW in it's dying days. I know that's fairly faint praise, but there it is.

Mind you, the last six months of WCW's existence isn't exactly great either. The damage done in the past few years leaves the show void of both starpower and a good midcard, and the show still has plenty of LOLWCW booking to go around, but for the most part, the people left are really trying to dig the company out of a hole that's just too deep.

Watching the Nitro with the Michael Modest vs. Christopher Daniels match, and two things: 1)the match is pretty freaking great, and 2) Christopher Daniels with hair looks WEIRD.

Savage's entire 1987 team featured guys he had either feuded with or would feud with in the future. Storyline for JYD being replaced by Ricky Steamboat was that Steamboat asked for JYD's spot in the match.

Right around when Steiner gets the title at Mayhem is when you first start seeing the new direction. Mind you, the last six months of WCW's existence isn't exactly great either. It's not great, but it is getting better on a weekly basis until they closed. I really loved the Magnificent Seven, and when they would beat guys and then have funerals for them I loved it. Bagwell hunched over a spear and a jackhammer in a coffin and hysterical with tears? It was f***ing heel gold.

One one of the last Nitros, before Greed, you can see what appears to be a young James Storm bumping around for Jeff Jarrett "disguised" as Dusty Rhodes.

I thought the thunder "shoot" interview series was only leading up to NBR with Nash,Goldberg and Russo but they do them every week in June and July with the likes of Bischoff,Vampiro and Sting.
I miss Kimberly and Liz but them being gone means more Miss Hancock who they had no idea what to do with before then even teasing a relationship with Tony Schiavone.
I enjoying The Lance Storm stuff it's the only highlight currently but I kinda wish we got Russo's 1st idea for Lance as Bischoff's Son.
Booker T's character is a mess he lost the rights to the Harlem Heat name and music and they took away his T and gave it to Ahmed Johnson. He came out to the leave it to beaver theme. They dropped that and gave him back his T and the music when Bischoff & Russo take over. He's a babyface member of the new blood that loses all the time but is respected by the millionaire's club. Then he becomes GI Bro for some reason and continues to lose. He's feuding with DDP rip-off Positively Kanyon and losing at BATB and wins the world title on the same show and becomes a Rock rip-off the next night.

WWF in summer 2000 was so much better than wcw it isn't funny. KOTR was not very good but the next night was great with Foley becoming Commish and Vince announcing he's leaving to get Linda pregnant with his genetic jackhammer."DADDY'S COMING HOME!!!!" he proclaims then that jerk Rock lays him out like a jerk. That's probably why Vince and Linda weren't successful in the baby making. This Kurt Angle guys is pretty good. The fans really like Trish. Lita was a heel nothing character on the show now she's a babyface with the Hardys and showing her underwears and she's over.

Man, Kid Romeo....I'm having trouble deciding whether or not he's intentionally homoerotic or not.
