Had no idea the Nation's locker room vandalism was so racially charged. The no KFC sign made me go Oh Shit. Despite the imagery, Vince was trying to brush it off as vandalism doesn't equal racism until someone got in his ear and told him what that damn wall said. Guess he didn't have his glasses on and/or wasn't clued up just how tasteless it would be.

Man, Kid Romeo....I'm having trouble deciding whether or not he's intentionally homoerotic or not. Nothing of the sort that was just what the kids were doing. The late 90's early 00's were a strange time of self discovery for the youth of that time period.

How many times are the commentators going to fall for the fake Sting schtick? Ugh, I'm ALMOST finished with my watch of the Nitro years(I'm on the penultimate Nitro), and don't get me STARTED! The "Fake Sting" dodge from fall of 96 to like....early spring of 98 is f***ing infuriating to me every. Single. Time. It KIND of made sense the first time, because Jeff Farmer looked like Sting if you were squinting at him from across a football field on a hazy day, but every time after that?

Farmer at least as surfer Sting was a convincing fake and had all the mannerisms down. As Crow Sting, he's no good. Watching the episode where a fake, Piper and DDP are dressed as the Sting Army and I'm shouting at the commentators there's no f***ing way any of those are Sting, you morons. You already had an army of Stings last week!

Holy shit, on the final Nitro, the match between Shane Helms and Chavo Guerrero, Chavo JUST gets his head up in time to not take in on the brain from the Vertebreaker. I normally don't have the problems with that move that I know a lot of people do, but jesus, he only JUST got his head up.

Man, I forgot how insufferable Rob Bartlett was. Starting my Raw years watch, how long do I have to tolerate him again?

Man, of all the people who I would have bet real money on that they were naturally blond...I never would have thought that Terry Taylor has black/brown hair.

I know then just say it like that. I always found it weird that was the sticking point. I guess riding with Rick Rude rubbed off on him The way I've always seen it is being heavily influenced by one moment. When Austin was staring at his small paycheck in disbelief and Jarrett told him, "It ain't gonna get bigger by lookin' at it!" If I'm Austin, borderline starving and busting my ass to help this prick and his dad pull big gates so that Double J can ride around in a fancy car and actually have an audience to witness his push then, a few years later, I'm asked to get him over and the first thing he does is bury my gimmick? FOH, I'm gonna stomp your career out too. On topic, I know it's been mentioned but I'm on to SuperBrawl '98 in my viewing of the MNW and seriously, had he not been injured, Rick Martel could've had a serious career resurgence in the WCW mid-card.

That was so sad I always liked Martel but in AWA and WWF he was kinda bland as a babyface and then as a heel he seemed stuck in a low card spot.So he takes a couple years off from the big time and comes back looking better than ever and was an awesome babyface that was having really good matches and getting great crowd reactions.I think it helped that besides being awesome what he was doing was so different from everybody else instead of being a too cool for school rebel badass he was just an old school fiery babyface.

Jim Neidhart didn't submit to Rick Martel's Boston Crab. The referee asked him "Does it hurt?" and The Anvil said "Yes"

In the last week I decided to watch all of 97 WWF so I'm using the network for Raw's and ppv's while using my collection for livewire, shotgun and superstars.I know they were losing the war and just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks but it's kinda jarring how raw, shotgun and superstars are all like completely different universes.Take Marc Mero and Sable: on raw there just generic smiley babyfaces. on shotgun Mero's is teasing a heel turning as he's angry about the relationship between Sable and Rocky. on superstars Sable's teasing a heel turn by attacking Mero's opponents in face vs face matches. Its just weird watching and seeing how the characters are so different depending on the show you watch.
