Really liked the 1990's X-Men cartoon. In particular the Magneto and Asteroid M storyline stands out. The intro with the various characters showing off their skills while their name appears on screen is still pretty badass even after all these years.

The XMen cartoon was ahead of its time, tackling some of the long, epic storylines, like Apocalypse and the Phoenix saga.

My dad insisted we record Pee-Wee's Playhouse for him if he worked Saturday mornings.
Clue Club, Jabberjaw, Wacky Races. That's my stuff.
Weekdays: Top Cat, Heathcliff, Tom & Jerry. Frickin' Danger Mouse on Nickelodeon!

Hey! I consider it a victory that I remember TNBC at all! And yeah, New Class was bad. Even though you had the rest of the original cast do a great cameo near the end. Wasn't there a fourth show? I thought TNBC was a two hour block. That is true, I'm probably one of the few people who would remember City Guys. TNBC was two hours, but New Class aired two episodes and the second hour was California Dreams and Running the Halls. Hang Time replaced Running the Halls and then City guys replaced California Dreams. I will say that I actually went through a City Guys kick at one point, and this was when the show was about to end, if it had not already. I remember I got into watching reruns of the final season when NBC still had their TNBC block in 2002 before doing their Discovery Kids block. I got really into the show that I started recording reruns aired on a local Fox affiliate when they aired at 3:30 a.m. (I never understood why that channel aired reruns of a show like that during hours when people are likely sleeping; This was also before DVR became common, and no, I did not have TiVo either). I still have those episodes on tape, by the way. TNBC still had their block in 2000 and 2001 I believe, with the final Peter Engel show for that block being "All About Us," and I feel that I am one of the very few people who not only remembers that show, but also watched it. It starred a country singer named Alecia Elliott, who probably had some notoriety from her album and song, "I'm Diggin' It." I still have a few episodes on tape somewhere. I also remember shows like "Just Deal" and Skate," but I did not really get into them, though I think I watched maybe very few episodes of "Just Deal." One other thing about the final days of TNBC. My local NBC affiliate aired the TNBC shows on Saturday afternoons at times as opposed to mornings, probably because a sports event was shown earlier in the day. NBC was known for showing sports like swimming, volleyball, etc. on Saturdays from time to time (They still do, too). Hell, I still remember TNBC shows airing on a Sunday evening time like 5 or 6 p.m.

Some fans might remember RVD guest starred as himself and wrestled on the show with L-Train as his partner. It was in syndication on BET or TVOne for a time in the mid 2000s. Yeah, TNBC was around till 2002. I remember Just Deal and Sk8, but they seemed so similar that I confused the two sometimes. There was a few episodes of All About Us I remember, like the one where Alecia Elliot's character felt insecure about her big butt.

I don't think I saw that episode of "All About Us," but that was a common episode plot for those types of shows: Insecurity of image. It puzzled me because Alecia Elliott was rather thin, but I do remember an episode where she was about to sing on stage and got stage fright, and of course, overcame it by the episode's end and sang on stage. By the way, in regards to that "City Guys" episode with Rob Van Dam, I still remember a sign in the crowd at Hardcore Heaven 1999 that said, "I WATCH CITY GUYS!" I could only guess that at the time, it was announced through wrestling sites that RVD would appear on that show, because Hardcore Heaven took place in May, whereas that episode aired in the fall of 1999 I believe.

Some of my anticipation for the start of the new Saturday morning lineups were stronger than getting excited for Christmas morning. Every time they ran the primetime preview specials I got so pumped for it. The loss of Saturday morning cartoons is when I knew kids weren't going to be the same again.

I love Saturday Morning Cartoons, too many awesome shows to mention!
However, whenever I think of Saturday Morning... for some reason, my mind drifts to one morning where I was playing with Construx for hours, I know I started early... around the time Muppet Babies were on and continued on through Pee-Wee's Playhouse and whatever came on after that.
I also remember the Saturday Morning Cartoon Preview Shows that would air a few weeks prior that would give brief glimpses of all the new shows.

I would tend to bounce back and forth between ABC and Kid's WB. I'm JUST old enough to remember the old "Brick Wall Bumpers" that opened the thread.

Only way to start this thread See that, raise you: Ah, the Saturday Supercade. I remember it well, the first glimpse that Hollywood had no f***ing idea how to handle video games in their media. Also,I had completely forgotten about In The News. It was cool that CBS was trying to educate kids on world events back then, since there was little context to stories if we watched them on the 6 o'clock news. And there were times in the 80's with the threat of nuclear war hanging over our heads where that was needed.

Ah, the Saturday Supercade. I remember it well, the first glimpse that Hollywood had no f***ing idea how to handle video games in their media. Well Pac-Man came one year earlier, and...oh heck. Who am I kidding? I ate all of the above with a spoon when I was a kid.

This was my jam as a kid in '84. I didn't get to watch Battle Of The Planets or any of the other 80's anime transplants, but when this came on that year...I ate it up. It was so much fun, and helped fuel my giant robot obsession that started with Transformers. I was disappointed that it only lasted barely one season (it only got 13 episodes) and that more people don't know about it.
What's crazy is, it wasn't even a Japanese show, it was created for the American market using Japanese directors and creators.

-Always enjoyed the Super Mario Brothers Super Show. Where else you can get Mario & Luigi dancing with Shabba Doo or Roddy Piper visiting Brooklyn's own? And stay tuned for these clips of the next Legend of Zelda! -USA action zone, Street Fighter was garbage but fun garbage. Bison being more of an scumbag helped. Savage Dragon was fun. MK.....ehhh. -Earthworm Jim(a soil did he crawl) might be the best video game cartoon ever.
