I loved when she commentated on the Re-Generation X vs Ayako Hamada & Ayumi Kurihara match. Leva came out dressed as Rocky and Danger as Apollo Creed complete with the American flag coloured attire.
Portia: "Okay I get Danger's outfit. She's Butterbean. But does that make Leva Bart Gunn?"
Dave: "What!"
Portia: "She's Butterbean?"
Dave: "No this isn't the Brawl for All! She's Rocky!"
Portia: "Maivia? Does that make Leva Faarooq? Are Hamada and Kurihara the Disciples of Apocalypse because that's not a very good Crush costume either! She forgot the face paint."
*5 minutes later*
Portia: "Man, I still can't get over this crappy Crush costume."
Hysterical! One of many hilarious Perez commentary moments!

I lover interaction with some heckler at the beginning of her announcement. After talking about taking all these bumps she has taken for eleven and a half years: "And the end of this story is that....." "You're a hoser." ".....I have a major neck injury. But thank you for calling me a hoser, though." She's attractive in a different way than a lot of the divas are imo. Most of the divas are attractive in a sleazy hookup kinda way, Portia's the kinda girl who you'd go out with and take home to your parents and settle down with. And you can just marathon episodes of "You Can't Do That on Television" on a rainy day with. That's my move in trying to seduce Canadian chicks. And on a more lascivious, man did those jeans Portia wore while delivering her announcement accentuate her ass. Even more so than the tights she wears while wrestling (which is weird, when you'd think the tights do that better because you know, they're f***ing tights!). But still goes along with her girl next door kind of sexiness she exudes. |

I got to talk to Portia for quite a while on Saturday after the show. She's got her studies to concentrate on, and she's looking forward to the future plans she has. She didn't rule out returning to SHIMMER purely as a commentator, or maybe a managerial role, but she's not determining anything right now.
Portia got off surprisingly easy in her final match. Most of us thought Danger would get her hands on her once and for all, or set the roster on her, or maybe a similar exit to the likes of Eric Bischoff. Instead, Danger allowed Portia to have her theme played one last time, and Portia said that the fans suck, and she's going home.

Ultramantis Black and Portia Perez: Which one Terry Funks it first? Somehow Terry Funk, followed by Ultramantis mostly because neck injuries are a bitch look at Edge and Austin Terry Funk does it twice for the both of them. |

It's good that she's not ruled out a return to the announce desk or management. If I was in the WWE I'd hire her either for commentary or put her in creative in NXT. She has so much to offer any promotion. |
