In the middle of doing the Silver Shroud missions. They're quite fun, I hope I get to keep the costume afterwards since the Silver Shroud hat goes well with the Minutemen General Armour that I wear.

I've been a jerk to just about anyone if the dialogue allowed it. I gave some old man a hard time because he wanted me to test color samples of paint.
Also my with Hugh strength and melee I'm having a blast ripping peoples heads off with the three claw deathclaw gauntlet

I've been taking off and putting on one of my power suits for Danse for a half-hour and the bastard still doesn't like me enough to give me his perk.

Who's a badass boy?! You are! Yesh you are! Now if only you'd stop pop out of nowhere and look straight into my sniper rifle's scope while I'm trying to dispatch Raiders, that'd be awesome. And speaking of Raiders... This is pretty much what happens every time one of them tries to take me and my boomstick on in close quarters. I don't know if this is a bug or intentional drawback. But if you are using some sort of stealth device be it a stealthboy or a cool bit of stealth armour you find then while hidden and invisible your Pipboy also turns invisible when you look at it. Meaning you can't actually use your Pipboy while invisible because it is invisible too. Pretty sure that is a glitch because here's what my pip-boy looks like while invisible: While on that topic, I don't know if it's always like that but man did I find my first use of a Stealth Boy lackluster. It lasts a ridiculously short amount of time. The Raiders still went into "caution" mode (and yes, I made sure both the radio and the light were off and I even had Dogmeat stay away just to be safe) and then it wore off while I was still trying to sneak by and I was right in front of them.

Finally got round to heading to the glowing sea. What a creepy as f*** place.
Uttet wasteland. I like that it extends further than the map outline on the pipboy. Makes it seem like proper unknown territory.

Not too sure yet but there are locations past the border too. I found a wrecked jet and factory. Going to see how far you can get.

So was doing the first institute mission and fast travelled to the meeting point. Utter chaos ...
The area is next to a raider settlement, there were some unfriendly assaultron and Mr gutsy about and then a verti-bird of brotherhood of steel flew in dropping off several Knights and scribes. Which is unfortunate as my mission involved meeting a synth courser who do not get on with the brotherhood creating a massive non-mission firefight.
After the verti-bird crashed, either someone fired a Fat Man or a BoS power armour fusion core detonated because the explosions wiped out most of the battle. The synth I was meeting was incapacitated so badly his legs bugged out and were fused to the ground.
At this point I Had to reload.

So there are new locations worth exploring past the pip-boy map, it's not just for decoration. Does the pip-boy map get updated or do you just have to remember they're there? Either way, it's really nice that Bethesda did this. It's become so rare for developers to include genuine secrets like that, with most of them being scared shitless that if they don't explicitly label everything people will be unable to comprehend it and get a brain aneurysm or something that it's kind of amazing that a modern game would have thins kind of stuff.

It updates the map. It's not off the map as in off the pipboy display, but you know the square border that generally shows the game area,? It goes a bit past there. There's a main story quest that takes you out there.

I liked the Glowing Sea. Reminded me of the Ashlands from Morrowind, although much more pleasant due to the lack of Cliff Racers.

Ran into the Children of the atom last night, somehow,I did not die. They're by far the most powerful group. Those gamma guns just destroy me. I've only managed to take out one of their bases once and that was solely because three vertibirds swooped in to attack at the same time as me (One got shot down, the other deposited a few BoS members) which helped take the load off so I managed to beat them.
