Johnny Cage? Either way Garvey is not very subtle about checking his ass.

so some jackass settler at The Castle ran off with my power armor. fortunately I found a full suit of T60 armor soon after, but man I was pissed.
also encountered my first bug, and it's a doozy. the quest where you help Travis Miles is bugged to flag the 2 goons you have to kill as essential so they can't die and you can't complete the quest. apparently this is a regular occurence so we have to wait for Bethesda to patch it. just letting y'all know in case you try it out.

If you're playing on PC you should be able to bring the console and deactivate the flags, at least you could in 3 and NV. I don't like the concept of essential NPCs to begin with, that's one of my few genuine gripes with Bethesda's Fallout games. I feel they should be able to work around it and make everyone killable. Same with companions. I mean, it's a bit weird when they're selling you this desolate world of constant death and decay and then when an NPC takes a mini-nuke to the face it's like "j/k they're just sleeping". One of the things that really made the original games to me is that it really felt like anyone could die at any moment and not only was it more atmospheric but it also made the game more challenging.

Some thoughts on the wasteland so far:
- Gamma Guns kill me a lot more than Deathclaws - Initiate Clarke is an idiot. - MacReady is the dullest of the companions I have met so far. - Taking the Aqualad/girl perk early was a good move. - I like the mini robot models you can find (I have protectron and Mr gutsy so far) - Picking up Jangles the Moon Monkey is never a good idea. - The only thing my Fat Man has killed is me. - Nuka Grenades are awesome, I need more. - My main base is going to be the Lighthouse. - Codsworth is still my favorite companion, his joke about crows was good too. - Psychojet addiction is a problem. - The furthest north warehouse by the beach in Salem has a bug where on one side there is a doorway but if you walk through it the other side is a wall. - Met a girl who needed water, she and I then blew up when a suicide super mutant appeared out of nowhere.

I do like that Commander Kells of the brotherhood is voiced by Tuvok. My first thought on hearing Nick Valentine was "He is clearly about a dozen people from Skyrim." A quick google search showed that he is voiced by Stephen Russel, who voiced 36 people in Skyrim, including Mercer Frey, Clavicus Vile AND his dog Barbas, and Belethor.

This game would be even better if talking to Nick sometimes prompted him to say "You and me, we're the only people around who aren't complete fools!"

Where did you get the protectron? I'm missing him. Why not? I've picked up Jangles a few times and never noticed anything happen.

The town full of crazy robots is one of my favourite locations. Especially the waiter who serves you 200,000,000 degree temperature coffee and blows himself up and the one who you can have a boxing match with. Amazing.

I got it recently so I either found it in the north east part of the map south of salem or in the speakeasy in Concord by the museum of freedom I think. 2. Well so far I have been attacked by a large pack of feral ghouls and then a behemoth when I picked them up. I am understandably wary now.

I'm currently at Level 23 and working my way through sidequests before doing the main storyline quest Unlucky Valentine.
I feel like I've barely even scratched the surface of this game.

I really like the game, but I still think Fallout 3 was better. I much preferred the levelling system and dialogue in that game. I really miss them. And it's better than New Vegas, just because it works.

Oh no, important decision time.
I think I know what I want to do, but I think I'm just going to mess around in the wasteland before I make a final choice.

I love how I've already put about 32 hours into the game and I'm so obsessed with scavenging any damn thing I find and exploring ruins from top to bottom that people keep talking about stuff I haven't even heard of in the game yet. Doesn't help that I usually end up overburdened and incapable of running/fast travelling but because I'm stubborn, I keep all my stuff all the way to the Red Rocket garage. Hey, it's a convenient way to find stuff I didn't notice earlier.
I might want to revisit Concord at some point too as I don't remember the creepy thing that people keep mentioning.

I don't know if this is a bug or intentional drawback. But if you are using some sort of stealth device be it a stealthboy or a cool bit of stealth armour you find then while hidden and invisible your Pipboy also turns invisible when you look at it.
Meaning you can't actually use your Pipboy while invisible because it is invisible too.

Finally got my copy. Quite why Amazon decided to ship it from Australia is beyond me. Didn't even realise they did that until it arrived. No wonder it was taking so long, I ordered it a week and a half ago. Ah well.

Just done Trinity Tower, that was fun. I really am trying to not use the Power Armour. I got a submachine gun that sets people on fire from the boss. It's Borderlands all over again !
