Ran across a Preston garvey impersonator. Tried to get me to donate to the minutement, caught him in the lie and he took off I met him too but I guess I got confused in the dialogue options so all I did was tell him to piss off and he left apparently still convinced I believed him. Didn't help that I actually forgot that I am indeed the general. Also, the first time I saw him, I thought he was a Raider and killed him but when I saw the name on the UI, I thought I killed the real Preston Garvey so I reloaded my save.

I've been totally sidetracked in settlement building. I feel bad when settlers don't have food and shelter.
I'm 25 hours in and all ive really done are Garvey missions.

So my character is stuck, wont move at all, feet glued to the ground. Earlier in the gaming session the Y button didnt work, now the left stick is uselesss, works in other games, even in fallout 4 menus. Tried reloading old saves, nothing.

I've concluded that I wanted a game that was Fallout with some Skyrim elements, but I got a game that's Skyrim with some Fallout elements.
That's not a bad thing at all, but I still hope the mod community makes the game a bit more RPG friendly. I'm almost finished with the plot. It's really good, but so severely limiting in a plethora of ways.

Also been singing "crawl out from the ffallout" all day, for as depressing a song as "end of the world" is, this song is equal parts awesome

End game spoilers. Sorry I sided with the Institute and the final battle was so god damn chaotic. Literally all I wanted was Maxons coat and I cannot for the life of me find his body. The battle itself was too hectic and I only got a few shots off on him before the Pyrdwen fell. I tried to go back - only to find a few random Brotherhood members to loot but no Maxon dead body, or any other high ranking members who also have cool gear.
Afraid I've run into some bad luck. :-(

Either you kill your Son who just wants to love you despite being a cold hearted "the ends justify the means" jerk or you essentially endorse slavery that could never possibly go wrong. I would imagine things are just as bad with the BoS.

so some weird glitch at The Castle set all 17 settlers to "Provisioner" status, leaving nobody to gather food and filling the place with pack brahmin. had to basically wait for every single one of them to come back so I could reset them. ugh. on the plus side all my other settlements now have significantly more raw materials.

So during one of my latest sessions, I came across a really weird glitch. And I've got video!
Anyone has any idea what happened?

Afraid I've run into some bad luck. :-( Endgame talk That's also what I chose. As soon as I found out who Father was there was no other option for me.
As for Maxson I got extremely lucky. At one point during the chaotic final battle he ended up on the roof of the building behind Liberty Prime and started blasting me with his Laser. I Quicksaved before finishing the battle. I went back to find his body and he was gone, so I reloaded and personally killed him before the airship crashed. Anyways. Such an amazing game, and I'm very sad it's over.

I know I'm asking a lot, but as I go through th egames, I keep wishing there was more to do with the companions, especially since they lay the groundwork. It's a bit disappointing that, for example {Spoiler}Nick has this super long and extensive sidequest, while Piper's is just "Talk to her." They couldhave done something more with it, like have the mayor conspire to replace Nat with a Synth and have to get her back. Preston could have had a sidequest to retake Quincy, since you have literally everything there for that. But his sidequest was really lackluster, apart form getting THe Castle out of it.
I know how extensive and trying the game is, but when things like that are missing, I just find myself missing them.

Im just now getting around to cleaning up Sanctuary and community building.
Is it not possible to include Home Plate in Diamond City in the supply line?
I have enough spare residents, but Home Plate never shows up as an option. Kinda frustrated, because I used that as my HQ for the first 50hrs. It will take me forever transferring all my junk elsewhere.

I still can't get over this game. I haven't even gotten to Nick Valentine yet, I've just been pouring hours into doing sidequests and building my settlement in Sanctuary. At this rate, I probably won't even be through my first run by the end of the year. I've gotten Codsworth's max approval, and romanced Cait, who has been my main companion.

From reading the Fallout Wikia page, I'd gathered the stats on each companion, so you guys know which companion is best for your playstyle: {Spoiler} Cait: 5 ST, 10 PE, 8 EN, 7 CH, 7 IN, 10 AG, 7 LK Codsworth: 9 ST, 10 PE, 7 EN, 7 CH, 9 IN, 10 AG, 7 LK Curie: 5 ST, 4 PE, 4 EN, 4 CH, 4 IN, 4 AG, 4 LK (As a Synth). I'm guessing her stats are similar to Codsworth when in her robot form, but I can't conffirm that) Danse: Not known yet Deacon: 5 ST, 10 PE, 7 EN, 9 CH, 8 IN, 10 AG, 8 LK Dogmeat: 4 ST, 14 PE, 4 EN, 4 CH, 8 IN, 14 AG, 4 LK Hancock: Not known yet MacCready: 5 ST, 6 PE, 6 EN, 5 CH, 5 IN, 5 AG, 7 LK Nick Valentine: 5 ST, 7 PE, 8 EN, 8 CH, 16 IN, 10 AG, 8 LK Piper: Not known yet Preston: 5 ST, 10 PE, 7 EN, 9 CH, 8 IN, 10 AG, 8 LK Strong: Not known yet, but his strength has gotta be either 10 or higher X6-88: Not known yet

I'm at the point where I need to build the teleporter to get into the institute, but am randomly wandering searching for vaults and companions. My favorite thus far is Hancock, guy's just a tough bastard. Really gotta up my bartering skills though, sick of running out of bullets mid battle.

I got the perk that lets you find more ammo in containers, and never had a problem with ammo ever again. I recommend it.
