I finally figured out why everyone loves NXT so much

Really, that's my main issue with Raw (not in the last month or so but for most of the year). It's just a poorly thought out professional wrestling show a lot of the time. It's a parody of pro wrestling.

In my view NXT is a great wrestling show that features storylines.
Lucha Underground is a great story-driven TV show that is about wrestling.
Raw is a show that is embarassed to be a wrestling show and aims to be a TV show about wrestling, but there isn't enough effort not is it well-written enough to the latter or booked well enough to be the former.

I fell in love with NXT not too long ago. It took me forever to get into it but the Network has been a huge help.

It's a stripped down wrestling show in my eyes. It's everything that RAW should be, but isn't, due to the old guard.

It's also a way to gauge who could and couldn't get over to a wider audience. We're basically guinea pigs for whatever gimmick tweak they're working on and I love it. Hell, Baron Corbin has a little more depth than he had before he started feuding with Joe and Rhyno. Working with veterans and getting a good match out of it is just one of the keys. We can tell that Corbin's a lone wolf and will stop at nothing to get his hands on the NXT title. Hell, Nia Jax is getting better each week. Of course, not everyone can or will make it but they're doing great so far.

It leaves you wanting more. I think adding another half hour wouldn't hurt it and if I recall, Vince once said that the ideal length of a wrestling show is 1.5 hours, not 2 and not 3.

I think NXT is mostly incredibly predictable, but that's why it works, because you want something from it and then you get it.
