Seriously, why?
It would make no sense. A legitimate fighter who has only lost one match her entire career wrestling in a fake women's division would just be dumb. And the "she should be booked like Brock" argument makes no sense either. Why ruin every other Diva by making them look like scrubs against her?
I don't see how her in WWE would ever work.

I think it's not as much wanting her as it is speculation as to what role she will play beyond her appearance at Wrestlemania. After that, for better or worse, Ronda is in WWE, it's just a question of to what extent and significance
My position, of course, is that they retcon it such that Joanna appeared alongside The Rock at WM 31 and that she probably broke her hand in the crushing of Stephanie McMahon's left femur.

They don't, they just see it as an inevitability given how hard the WWE clearly want her to work with Stephanie McMahon. The Diva's division will only be involved because Stephanie needs someone to beat to show off her mad MMA skills so she'll beat them one by one in the buildup to her match with Ronda.

I say this as a person who is not a fan of UFC and actually only saw my first full fight the other day because I'm a massive fan of Holly Holm from her boxing days but it's clear that Ronda Rousey is a massive draw. And the idea of seeing someone who had (until the Holly fight) been damn near unbeatable brought about the idea of her being the diva's equivalent of Brock. It would be intriguing to see on that front and I'd be all for it. If she's talented in the ring (which having experience of legitimate fighting should lend itself to) then it seems like a no brainer because like I said, she'd be a draw. If she's not good enough in the ring which, frankly, would surprise me then her being used as a one-off draw in a match at 'Mania would still be a good idea without having to have her around full-time. Plus, she's a WWE fan, which only feuls the idea.
Ironically, as a non-MMA fan, I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to see Ronda Rousey in WWE.

I like her. She's a huge fan and with her background I think she could make the transition very well. With her in the division the divas would almost have to have a spotlight on it and people may very well tune in to see her.

Because she is a prominent sports figure that, up until this past week, had an aura of invincibility. The fact that she's also a fan herself and clearly loved her role at WM, however small, also helps.
For my part, I've said for a while I think the best use of her would be in a special guest role. The fantasy booking scenario I always envisioned was Stephanie McMahon getting involved in a feud between two of the divas, doing the whole "boss picks favorites" thing ala Seth Rollins, and she'd bring Ronda in as a special guest ref. Ronda would act the part of the collaborator, but then she would actually do the three count for the face and hand them the belt. Steph would get in the ring and act all shrill, would go to smack Ronda, and Ronda would lay her out instead. Basically Mike Tyson with Austin vs HBK.

Because fans know that Rousey is literally the only chance we'll ever have to see Stephanie McMahon get her comeuppance in any major, satisfying way.
Stephanie McMahon's been the biggest tumor on WWE booking since 2013. She's been seen as better than all of the Divas combined, she's able to make anyone on the roster- male or female, from the lowest jobber to the most unbeatable monster, look like a quivering, crying baby next to the might of Stephanie McMahon.
And because she's a woman, she can NEVER get her comeuppance. The Divas are portrayed as so far beneath Stephanie that even if every Diva ganged up on her, leading to Charlotte pinning her, it would bypass "upset", bypass "fluke" and go straight to "It's a comedy segment. See, it's FUNNY because this woman actually BEAT Stephanie and that would never happen!" And as for a man giving Stephanie her comeuppance...yeah, we're not going to touch that one with a 1,000,000 foot pole.
Rousey is wanted in the WWE because she's literally the one, and only one, chance we'll ever have of seeing what every fan truly wants- Stephanie McMahon BEATEN.

Ronda would be amazing if she came in with a gimmick that embraced her negative public image and cranked it up past 11 all the way to ludicrous speed.

So Stephanie can get her heat back for having to sell for 3 seconds at WM. She looked way too weak and fans are foaming at the mouth to see Steph get that W.

She's tough (formerly) with an air of invincibility, beautiful, and is a legit nerd OVER 9000 Pokemon master, who said she likes to have sex as much as possible before her fights.
I think a diagram is unnecessary to show why some people want her around, and would probably violate a rule or two.

A VERY famous fan, who COULD be great in the ring, and she is one of the only legitimate 'draws' in all of combat sports (including sports entertainment).
She would have to be booked well, and give legitimacy to anything she did.
The most important thing is it is the most obvious way to quickly get more eyes on the product and possibly create new fans...short of dozens of creative people getting better at their jobs over night including the man at the top...

Although Stephanie is Stephanie I highly doubt she's the only possible option for her being beaten. Yeah she is a hard hurdle to climb but there are other circumstances in which some others who aren't Ronda could abuse. If anything, once Ronda joins she'll be similar to Rock and by that be seen as someone on Triple H's level who will be cut down by Triple H and others when they're not on screen and hell even on screen at once. Even if you beat the McMahons they aren't effortlessly defeating you. They always get their wins in.

People assume this is the only way Stephanie will get her just desserts but the Alpha Female isn't going to take a squash from Ronda nor disappear if she does take a L. If anything she will castrate even more people to prove her dominance.

Bringing Rousey in now is poison since she just got demolished. Let her build herself back up and revisit in the future. She's a bigtime star and can be an asset to the company in a limited role.

I just don't get why everyone just assumes she'll be a good wrestler. Just because she's a fan? I'm with you. I'd guess the reason may be because of Brock in 2012, but apparently everyone forgets that he was already trained? If they were to bring in Ronda for anything more than a 5-minute match, they'd have to spend at least a few years training her, at which point her star power will be gone. She ain't gonna bring over MMA fans. Brock sure didn't. I don't know about that. Extreme Rule 2012's buyrate was 25% greater than the year prior, and the following year dropped by 12%. Maybe Brock didn't sustain his drawing ability because they beat him in his first match back.

Because they like her and she's a combat sports athlete who has shown an interest in wrestling both as a fan and possible participant.
I mean, that's what it really comes down to.
She's really famous, athletic as heck and obsessively beloved even by peope who don't know jack shit about MMA and easy on the eyes. Heck, I was shooting (video, not fighting) with a girl last weekend who was super pissed about Rousey's loss and when I said, "Hey, well the other girl was a better fighter that night - no one can win them all." This girl legit said to me, "So? That other girl is boring."
I seriously doubt she'll bring any MMA fans to WWE, but she's basically a pop culture figure right now, even more so than being an MMA fighter and that alone could bring some extra eyes to the show and get a lot of people who just like her because she's famous to give WWE a try.
WWE will screw it up for sure, but still.
