The better team won yesterday and probably still would have, but I am still bitter about the delay of game penalty that wasn't called on the big play in the Cardinals-49ers game (the Carson Palmer stumble).
Also the screwup in the Patriots-Broncos game at the end was horrid. I firmly believe that the Patriots were going for the win in regulation had that time been added back.

The Patriots are the most annoying great team I can ever recall. You say that about every top team in every sport, every season, every year without stop. At what point does it become possible sports may not be for you? I think I'll take up knitting.... *5 minutes later* I HATE KNITTING!!!!

The team that wins the Super Bowl isn't always the best team, it's often the healthiest team. And as it stands right now, the Patriots are essentially a MASH unit, but that should not be the case come January.
Rob Gronkowski is expected to return in a week or two. Danny Amendola is likely to be active Sunday against the Eagles. Julian Edelman will be back for the postseason. Donta Hightower should be healthy in two to four weeks. Jamie Collins quite possibly could play Sunday.
With those five healthy, the Patriots are still the best and most dangerous team in the league and have to be the perennial favorites to win Super Bowl 50. I don't expect any tears from fans of the other 31 teams, because just about every team is dealing with injuries, but the fact that the Patriots held a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter and pushed the game to overtime after that lead evaporated was damn impressive considering they are playing without their best offensive lineman, their four best offensive weapons, and their two best defensive players. The fact that Tom Brady was able to throw for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns and lead the team down the field for a game-tying field goal attempt throwing to the likes of Brandon LaFell, Scott Chandler, Chris Harper, James White, and Brandon Bolden is incredible. That's a preseason roster.
It's also not the end of the world that the Patriots lost a game. As I said last night, of course I want them to win every week to stick it to the league for the way they railroaded the franchise and its fans in the off-season, but I don't think I ever truly considered 16-0 a realistic possibility. It was a fun pipe dream but not the season objective. The goal remains to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in Santa Clara in February and that would be hard to do if they were forced to go all-out for 16 weeks and risk further injuring their already-depleted roster.

I heard all day the Pats' fans whining that their top 3 receivers are hurt.
As a Raven fan, I just laughed and was like: "We lost the top 3 everything and look where we are! Trust me, you could be in a hell of a lot worse shape."

I think the Browns will regret not getting a touchdown there.

Wow Matt Schaub really can't go a game without throwing a pick six.

ESPN Monday Night @espnmondaynight Matt Schaub is the only player in NFL history to throw a pick-6 in 4 straight games.
