BRING BACK STEINER! Just let him jibber jabber all he wants on the mic with full creative control it'll be a goldmine. There'll be more memes, more YouTube videos, more casual fans tuning in to find out who the hell this crazy guy is  . Let the mid and lower card guys talk more on Raw to build their characters and make more casual fans want to invest in them and watch their matches. Plus let them play the comedy roles like back in the Attitude Era. Raw can be SO BORING sometimes...or a lot of the time. And no more ridiculously one-sided squash matches. They're such a waste of time. I want to see Natayla, R Truth etc actually be able to show what they can do in the ring rather than being a punching bag. |

Well, the *smart* thing to do would be to try to minimize costs while building new stars. Accept that it's not going to be an overnight thing and that the company will have to sacrifice, short-term, in favor of the long-term goals.
Put the older guys on part-time schedules, and allow them to do work outside the company. Big Show, Kane, Cena, all of those guys. That'll save some money while the current crop of guys comes into their own.
Between the main roster and NXT, there is more pure talent, now, than at any point in the history of the company. Stop having them wrestle these insane schedules that lead to major injuries. People will still buy tickets to house shows without full rosters, especially if you add some "fan fest" kinda stuff. Autograph signings, photo opportunities, etc.
Don't have the World Champion defend at every PPV. Endless rematches are killing interest in the product. Have the World Champion defend at the Big Four. The IC title, US title, and Tag Titles defended at other shows. The Rumble is its own draw and doesn't need championship matches taking away from it. Defend EVERY belt at wrestlemania. No more "the champion is in a more important match" bull****. You're a champion, at Mania, that's the most important thing.
Listen to the fans. If a babyface is getting boo'd out of arenas, make him a heel. You don't have to make him a CARTOON who changes everything about who he was the day before, though. Ditto with a face turn. Just a few minor tweaks one way or the other. If a babyface is getting massive reactions, see if he maintains it for a few months. Put him on a winning streak. If the fans stay behind him by the time the next title defense comes up, go with it. If not, then don't. Don't act like "you know what the fans want better than they do". You don't. And the world isn't like it used to be. If you don't give fans what they want, they'll go and do something else.

But that's not really Vince's style, so I'd imagine he'd probably see how many zeroes it would take to get CM Punk and Goldberg to come back and feed his entire up-and-coming roster to them.

Well, one, NXT has its fair share of serious problems in its own right (see the complete lack of a midcard, the tag division being an endless series of, "Team A randomly beats Team B for the belts with zero hype, flounders as champions until Team C beats them, immediately becomes completely irrelevant,", how its episodes usually progress even less story-wise than Raw does, and how repetitive the main event scene's storylines are), and two, NXT benefits heavily from only being an hour long. NXT structured the exact same way it is but at three hours long, while probably still better than Raw, would also be a complete chore to sit through While NXT may benefit from being an hour long, it also suffers for the same reasons that you mentioned. It's hard to establish a midcard in only an hour each week. It's still developmental. The way I understand it, they're trying to give a lot of people TV time to gain experience. When you have a lot of people to showcase and not a lot of time to showcase those people, it's going to be hard to have a stable midcard. Add another half hour and a mid-card belt. I don't know if that would help but NXT could use it. TV title, defended only at tapings? |

Raid Lucha Underground's bookers/writers, and get Pentagon Jr, Fenix, Mil Muertes, and Ricochet. Let them do what they do with the WWE machine.
Vince is going to have to accept that, at least for now, he's got a niche product. People don't want lame WWE comedy segments, and the bloom is off the rose of Kayfabe, so give us a good fictionalized serial, with fleshed out characters we, the fans can care about.

maybe he should let the writers write and tell dunn to either update his methods, or bring someone in to make things refreshing. shrink their ass ugly giant led board and just use either the house show set, or the nxt set, stop working only for the hard camera, and f***ing have decent stories.
