I was at a gig tonight so I couldn't watch the show live, but it all looks incredible judging by the reviews/gifs/sami zayn vid. I can't believe they got 10k for it, absolutely astonishing. I was at the Sheffield show this past weekend and that was out of this world but it definitely looked like they built well to an epic Takeover special in London. So damn happy to see Zayn back he has always been a pleasure to watch and I have been a mark for him since day 1 I saw him as El Generico (yes I know, I love the joke but it's hard to reference how great Sami is in this context without all his years of work before WWE ). The helicous and spectacular bumps and sells he would do, the astonishing matches, the charisma/presence/character he has always had, whether masked or not. I am so proud that such a great worker and one of the best in ring technicians/high flyers of his era (that started early - mid of last decade indy group including Joe, Bryan, Punk etc). He is just captivating to watch him effortlessly flow around the ring, execute moves perfectly and sell so damn well. Baring anymore injuries (fingers crossed) sky is truly the limit for him, I could imagine him becoming just as popular as Jeff Hardy/Daniel Bryan in crowd support/overness/the underdog babyface role once he takes over the main roster

I thought the entrance set sucked for NXT. Normally they have those lovely square spinning lights and it's a bit wider.

Never getting floor seats again if I go to Wembley. Couldnt see a thing and the titantron was turned off. Spotted some empty seats behind the hard cam so moved up there for last 2 matches and had a shit hot view. A bit annoyed theyd sell tickets with such a shit view at the top price tier really My only gripe. I can't understand why you would have it off for the matches, only to show immediate replays afterwards. I struggled to enjoy parts of matches when they went to the canvas and that's a shame. Watching live, I didn't feel there was any classic matches but everything was good and the crowd was hot throughout (except for the Bull Dempsey match, but I can forgive that.) I'm really looking forward to watching the show again to compare. Should've put the belt on Joe though. I literally couldn't see a thing, even moves done standing up were heavily obscured and neither could any one around me, at one point people got their phones out and put the network on, there was a huge delay and we had no idea that any of the things we saw on the network feed had happened. Really pissed off to be honest. If the screen was on it would have been fine

Here are the facts about NXT Takeover: London, which I thought was a great show.
- This was the 5th & final NXT Takeover of 2015 - This was the 1st NXT Takeover that Tyler Breeze did not compete or him or Finn Balor competed in the opening match - Asuka VS Emma was Asuka’s 2nd Takeover in a row, Emma’s 1st Takeover since Unstoppable on May 20, & both women’s 1st Takeover opener - Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady VS Dash & Dawson was the 10th NXT Tag Team Championship of 2015, the 1st since NXT on November 25, Dash & Dawson’s 2nd Takeover in a row, Amore & Cassady’s 1st Takeover since Unstoppable on May 20, & their 3rd re-match - Apollo Crews VS Baron Corbin was Crews’s 3rd Takeover in a row, Corbin’s 5th Takeover in a row, & Crews’ 1st singles loss in NXT - Bayley VS Nia Jax was the 11th NXT Women’s Championship Match of 2015, the 1st since November 25, Bayley’s 5th Takeover in a row, Nia’s Takeover debut, & her 1st loss in NXT - Finn Balor VS Samoa Joe was the 11th NXT Championship Match of 2015, the 1st since NXT on November 4, Balor’s 5th straight Takeover & 1st Takeover main event since Brooklyn on August 22, Joe’s 3rd straight Takeover & Takeover main event, both are the 1st since Balor on May 20 & August 22 to go from a Takeover opener to the following Takeover main event, & Joe’s 1st pinfall loss in NXT - Baron Corbin, Bayley, & Finn Balor are the only people to compete at every Takeover event in 2015

People may disagree, but I honestly believe Bayley deserves 'Diva of the Year' just as much as Sasha does, maybe even more. Bayley hasn't just had great matches with the other Four Horsewomen, but has also managed to carry the lesser experienced women such as Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and even Eva Marie to decent matches.
I get that Sasha is most peoples favourite (im a big fan as well, though Becky will always be my favourite), but I think Bayley has done more than Sasha in the previous year. I cant really remember any great matches from Sasha other than those with Bayley and Becky (and the four way).

They taped three matches for next week's TV - two before (Gable & Jordan/Vaudevillains/BAMF/Hype Bros and Dempsey/Samson), and Zayn/Dillinger after the main event. Gable & Jordan got the Yaya/Kolo chant all match long, and Sami was massively over. Dillinger got Marty Scurll style chants about his topknot.
Super fun show to be at, if not the best in-ring. I was last row on the floor, so I couldn't see the entrances, but I had a fine view of the ring. Canyon Ceman was standing right behind me throughout the show.
Pity a few on here were bashing the chanting, it was all super fun, and it really made the Tag Title match and Bayley/Jax. Stand up if you love Bayley!

Ok, missing about 20 pages since I checked in, so I don't know if this has been said yet. Tonight Finn was actually a demon, he was more aggressive, he moved his body differently, it was more than a cosmetic change this time, very impressive. On the train home, can't wait to watch this again with commentary and close up shots. He's always added more stuff to his demon schtick. The dives and dropkick to the barricades and stairs were only ever done when he's in Demon paint. And in Brooklyn he did the double stomp off the ladder at the end even though he could have grabbed the title because f*** Kevin Owens.

So, here are some notes and pictures from the show. - To open, we got two matches taped for next weeks TV. One was a fatal four way tag match between BAMF, The Vaudevillains, The Hype Bros, and Chad Gable and Jason Jordan. Jordan and Gable were over as f***. Literally everything they did got a cheer, even to the point where the Hype Bros (popular faces in their own right) got nuclear heat for throwing Gable out of the ring. The other was the debut of Elias Samson. He had a really good theme and beat Bull Dempsey in a squash match. - Then the show started. You probably know how the matches went so I won't go into detail. - I got a ton of high fives and too sweets tonight. Chad Gable, Bull Dempsey, Finn Balor and Sami Zayn to name a few. I also got a hug from Bayley which absolutely made my night since she's my favourite wrestler. - Speaking of Sami Zayn, he came out after the main event and wrestled a solid match against Tye Dillinger. Sami was over like I can't even describe. The pop he got when his music hit was absolutely deafening. It hurt my ears. So, so loud. He gave a speech after the show talking about he he's done being held back by injury and thanked the UK fans for a great tour. Anyway, here are the pictures I got.

Amazing show top to just before the end of the main. Loved the crowd, the feel of the show and stories told through the night.
Bayley/Jax easily match of the night with the story told. Great stuff making Nia look like a killer that just let a rookie mistake cost her the title/match to Bayley's heart and experience.
Corbin/Apollo was interesting and solid but gave away the title match, IMO since they were the only two built for the title.
Asuka/Emma again, great. Emma looked great, Asuka looked great, glad that is over though. Want to see where they go with Asuka and Emma/Brooke.
Tag match was amazing. I'd be shocked if it was the end of that feud. So much chicanery and they put their hands on Carmella.
Main event was a great war but the Demon stuff needs to go or be massively retooled. Never mind him looking like a broke ass Willow to start, there is absolutely no difference between Demon and Finn Balor. Nothing. And the stomp against someone like Joe? No, there has to be something that doesn't make Finn look like a someone dropped a Super Ball. There is no impact.

Just watched the show on-demand. I thought about watching it live on my iPhone at work, but decided not to. I wanted to be able to really enjoy it instead of having to follow along and work at the same time.
Triple H completely sounded like Lemmy at one point during his opening. Like, it was scary how accurate it was.
So glad they didn't do a screwy DQ ending in the opening match. I was dreading it when the referee caught Asuka with whatever it was that Dana threw into the ring.
I chuckled when I finally caught on that the crowd was singing a variation of Bruce Channel's "Hey Baby" during the women's title match.
Bayley winning with her regular finisher was probably out of the question, so her finding another path to victory was a nice touch.
My only gripe with the show is that they didn't show anyone about to come through the curtain with the cage-lowering music. Obviously they're not going to do that with Finn since he has a unique entrance all his own. But they could have done it for the women's title match. It's a minor detail and didn't kill the show, but I always love when WWE does that. Really makes the match seem like a big deal.
NXT is truly wonderful. I'll just leave it at that.

NXT unsurprisingly nails another takeover. I didn't expect much out of the Bayley/Jax match but I really, really liked it. And while Joe vs Balor was fantastic and hard hitting as expected Emma vs Asuka stole the show tonight. Freaking loved that match.

Just finished watching. Balor vs Joe was amazing. Balor needs a more impressive finisher though. Every match was awesome except for Corbin vs Crews. The anti-Corbin crowd chants made that match entertaining though.

NXT TakeOver: London December 16th 2015 | Wembley Arena in London, England
Asuka def. Emma w/ Dana Brooke in 14:58 TakeOver: London kicked off with a match between Asuka and Emma. They were given nearly fifteen minutes and really did well with it. Emma played the cautious heel, knowing that Asuka is one bad chick. Emma's heat segment lasted a while, as she tried to take the hot crowd out of it. Asuka fought back, using multiple hip attacks, but then we got a ref bump. Normally that is groanworthy, but it made sense here as it allowed Emma and Dana to get in some underhanded tactics. They teased an actual loss for Asuka via DQ and then again when she made Emma tap behind the referee's back, only for Emma to roll her up. Asuka knocked her out with a kick to win a really good opener that proved to be the match of the night for me. Emma came off great in a loss. The NXT Women's Division is in good hands if the focus is put on Bayley, Emma and Asuka. ***½
NXT Tag Team Championship: Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson (c) def. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady w/ Carmella in 15:03 The NXT Tag Team Championship match followed up and the fans were MOLTEN hot for it. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady have been the most over tag team in NXT by a mile, though Chad Gable and Jason Jordan are quickly catching up to them. Here, they had the crowd in the palm of their hands for this. There was an old school vibe to it. Dash and Dawson just get how to work a classic tag match, doing all of the little things to draw heat. They cut the ring in half on Enzo and even when Cass got the tag, they went to work on his bad leg, looking like smart champions. The false finish of Enzo and Cass winning just brought the fans to their feet. When Dash and Dawson won with a super Shatter Machine, the crowd was absolutely crushed. At this point, I don't think Enzo and Cass are ever going to win the belts. This was a good performance by both teams, making for another good Tag Title match on a TakeOver. ***
Baron Corbin def. Apollo Crews in 11:41 Two of the bigger stars in NXT right now, Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin, did battle next. I'd like to start by saying that I obviously see big things in the future for Crews, but there's something about Corbin's new heel persona that is just clicking. The character he's playing seems to fit him much better, which makes sense if his Breaking Ground persona is how he actually is. The match itself was rather slow and lost the crowd at some points, but it had some good points. Crews did a fantastic job of selling, while Corbin was on point with the trash talk. A highlight was him shouting for Crews to "go back to Ring of Honor", even though Crews wasn't really known for that promotion. Corbin surprised me by winning cleanly, giving Crews his first pinfall loss. Outside of a near fall after Crews hit a moonsault, this seemed to lack drama. They worked fine until the finish but it was certainly missing something. It looks like Corbin is next in line for a big time NXT Title match, so the win here made sense. Crews should be fine and is absolutely a guy I'd peg as a future NXT Champion. The match itself was decent at best. **¼
NXT Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) def. Nia Jax in 13:21 In the co-main event slot, Bayley faced Nia Jax in a match where a lot of pressure was on. 2015 has seen the best women's matches in company history, but with Becky, Sasha and Charlotte exiting for the main roster, Bayley has the task of leading unproven ladies like Alexa Bliss, Eva Marie and Nia Jax around. This was expertly booked. Knowing that Nia isn't accomplished in the ring, they just had her play the dominating heel, while Bayley was the ultimate underdog babyface. It worked well, though Nia still seems unsure of herself at times. It's clear that she still needs tons of work, but with time, could become a good monster heel for the division. They played on the fans' emotions, with Nia obliterating Bayley and nearly winning a few times. Bayley didn't go all SUPERBAYLEY, but found a smart way to turn things around, wearing down Nia with a guillotine choke before making her submit. I'd rather Nia pass out instead of tap out, but this was a smartly worked match that was about as good as it could have been. **¾
NXT Championship: Finn Balor (c) def. Samoa Joe in 18:22 With the show in London, Finn Balor's "Demon" character had an added dimension, playing off of Jack the Ripper. It was really cool. As for the match itself, I've seen high praise, but I didn't feel that way. Technically, it was fine, with two really good workers going at it. However, something about it felt hollow. For a match that was built on a friend turning on his buddy, there wasn't much in the way of emotion here. It was just two guys working a solid match. That's fine, but I wanted more. They teased the Samoa Joe victory a few times before Finn was able to retain with the Coup de Grace. A pretty good match to close out the show, but ultimately underwhelming. ***¼
Coming into the show, this was one of the weaker TakeOver cards ever and honestly, it was probably the weakest TakeOver in execution. It's the only NXT special where I didn't give out at least one **** rating. Don't get me wrong, it's a fine way to spend two hours, but it lacked something to make it special. 6.5/10

I enjoyed the show but I'm a little disappointed because I really thought they were going to build to the next Takeover with an INCREDIBLE card of:
Finn Balor (C) vs. Apollo Crews Bayley (C) vs. Asuka Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady (C) vs. Chad Gable & Jason Jordan Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe
I was really so sure of this. Three title matches involving all fan favorites that the crowd would have been super into and a dream match of Zayn and Joe? Would have been epic.
But tonight threw a big monkey wrench in all that and I can't help but feel let down by what the next programs seem to be:
Finn Balor (C) vs. Baron Corbin Asuka vs. Nia Jax
I have faith in NXT, but I'm pretty meh on both of those to be honest.
