Wha? He didn't act anything like Advent Children Cloud, that was basically the same Cloud we saw at the beginning of the original game. Anyway, I wouldn't have minded a turn-based remake, but real-time action RPGs are where the American money is now so I can live with it. Cloud does need to eventually say "Let's Mosey" or we riot! No. No, we will not riot. I'm just going to come out and say it: I think Cloud's design has vastly improved over time as Nomura's style progressed. He looks less like a cliched anime hero now and actually like someone who could handle a giant monster.

I hope the goofier elements are still in tact, such as Cloud riding Mr. Dolphin and the snowboard scene. Those scenes mixed with the realistic look will be hilarious.

No. No, we will not riot. Geez Clash, you never let us riot. I don't let you riot because the original "If _____ We Riot" was for, unarguably, the dumbest f***ing reason ever.

Didn't realize we had an off-topic area on this forum. With that said, I have to ask. How do you think the leveling will go? If this game is going to be multi-part series (which makes sense to me) does that mean we'll level back down to level 1 in the second version? How does this work? A universal save file that can be carried over multiple games or chapters isn't that far fetched, it's a practice that's been around since the early days of PC RPG's. In fact Square-Enix has already done this sort of thing before with their Downloadable Final Fantasy 2 follow up: The After Years. (Well that was before they released the full game as a physical copy as part of their Final Fantasy 2 compilation on the PSP.) I should have clarified my statement. I mean do people have to pay FF7:Part 1 before they play FF7:Part 2? Do they have to have it or is Part 2 going to be a stand alone as well? An example is the FFXIII games or FFX more than anything. You didn't need X to play X-2. I wonder how it'll work in this way. It can either be similar to a "main game and then expansion" thing or a Telltale games thing or it could be similar to previous XX entries that branch off each other in particular ways. We'll see.

Depends on what they mean by "length of an entire game." Also my worry is it will be a small part of the story and the rest will just be filler stuff.

My biggest fear was that it wasn't gonna be turn-based and was gonna be more like XIII's battle system. So glad that it seems like that's not the case. The game also looks gorgeous. I was unaware that people had a problem with the system of that game. I dug it, though the characters, outside of Balthier, of course, were a little weak and the story a little clunky. Then again, I played many different games over the years and found something to love in most of them.

I wasn't a particular fan of 12's half assed FF 11/mmo battle system... but it was leagues better than 13.

Yeah, as someone who grew up with Final Fantasy, I actually liked 12 for wanting to step out of the comfort zone and try something new with the removal of Random Encounters and the MMO-esque real-time battle system.

I thought XII was underrated in general, not just because of the fun MMO style system but everything else. Ivalice and Akihiko Yoshida's designs are drop dead gorgeous, and I thought the story was actually pretty interesting. I even liked most of the characters, except Ashe who I thought was a bit dull. But Vaan, Balthier and Penelo were fine and though he wasn't a main party member, Gabranth had a great character arc. If I had any issues with XII at all, it was the amount of exposition in the dialogue and a little too much backtracking. But I still enjoy playing it on occasion.

Before I get excited I need to know how long they're classing an "entire game". If they're basing by Call of Duty then it'll be over in like 4 hours.
