That match was an instant classic IMO. Got my money's worth from this show.

Jay Lethal is on the Ric Flair shit. Just less wives and alcohol fueled issues.

"I'm Jay Lethal, damn it and I'm the greatest because this says so! I AM THE MAN!"
Jay Lethal is my absolute favorite wrestler right now. What a f***ing champion. That's how you book a world champion, WWE.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the first ROH match that Styles has lost since his return to the company?

Injury or not, Styles is still an NJPW guy who makes occasional appearances in ROH. He really shouldn't have been put in a main event program for ROH's top show of the year. Muta was in the main event in 2003, and it was fine KENTA and Marufuji were in the two main events in 2005, and they were great Morishima was in the main event in 2008, and it was great Generico was brought back for the main event in 2012, and it was great it was fine having AJ in the main event

Nah, he's lost at least one other match to Elgin, which set up Elgin winning the title. Yeah, Elgin beat him at Second to None. The other two losses were the triple threat (Cole pinned O'Riley) I mentioned and a 4 Way (Elgin pinned Cole) but he was not pinned in either. There was also a time limit draw with Elgin.

On the whole, great show.
The opening tag match was real good although the finish felt flat due to ANX winning. The Bucks were on fire though and the Briscoes were real good as well.
Castle vs. Young was ok but the real treat was the post match. Awesome, awesome twist.
I really liked Moose/Elgin and as much as I don't care for Elgin, I understand why they had him win here. Very fun big man battle.
Cole vs. O-Riley was outstanding, probably the second best of the night. These guys could seriously be the next legendary ROH feud with the kind of chemistry they have. My favorite part about it was that it ended at the perfect time, enough to where I still wanted to see more but not too much like I was afraid they were gonna do. This is the first match in the feud, there's still plenty of juice in this thing.
The six man was fun. Nothing really blew me away but I never felt bored watching it.
Fish/Strong was another ok match with a finish that didn't really click. After thinking about it, I like it in theory but the announcers didn't do a great job explaining it and a lot of the fans just didn't understand it since they didn't even see the tap out.
The tag title match was really wacky. Like I said, I can rationalize the decision on paper but in execution, this crowd just did not get it or flat out didn't care. It's a shame that War Machine's run has to start like this but they're more than talented enough to overcome it.
The main event...man. This show was starting to go downhill after the last two matches but this saved the whole thing. One of the absolute best matches I've seen all year, probably in the top 3. Lots of drama and most importantly, it ended on a high note. That's my biggest pet peeve with ROH World title matches and this one knew it was time to end. Shout out to Lethal, shout out to AJ, you guys are awesome.
No shout outs for Jerry Lynn and his negative charisma.

Great show. I really thought O'Reilly/Cole couldn't be topped, and boy was I wrong. AJ/Lethal was f***ing STELLAR. Props. I really liked Fish/Roddy, but the screwy finish went over flat, like Magic knows Black Lives Matter said, because most of the crowd didn't see the tap. Now its going to come off as a rip off of the Taker/Brock angle. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the show.

For those of you wondering, Dave Meltzer is reporting that Taven actually injured his knee on the Spike Piledriver spot before the match. In addition to that, Bennett had a cracked rib and their contract status is up in the air. So, if you want to know why they lost so fast, that's why. Sucks that Taven had to get hurt on what should been a fairly easy match.

Bennett was crawling around on the floor, whispering to Taven and then one of the War Machine guys ... Next thing you know, he's in the ring and it's over. Matt never moved from that spot. I got the idea that Bennett called it on the spot, but I've been worked before.

He kept trying to put weight on it, but he really couldn't. After the match he was helped to the back by several refs, as he was leaving he said "sorry guys, I tried"
