I love to think that Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill all live in the same setting just in two far off different counties

The music videos are the best parts by far.
Lately I've been watching a bunch of season 1 episodes, especially the banned ones (like the one where they blow up Stewart's house and smuggle drugs into Mexico).

"This music is slow and fat."
"Yeah, this is the kind of music you have on a workout tape, if you're skinny, and you wanna get fat!"

I first heard of GWAR, Jane's Addiction & Henry Rollins as a kid through B&B.
This probably sounds horrible but, at least by proxy, Beavis & Butt-Head had a big part in making me the man I am today.

Still love the episode where they book a gig under the name Metallica.
Than loads of Metal fans show up expecting the actual Metallica..
Love this show, got a few Seasons on DVD
and for what it's worth I liked the movie Do America aswell.

The thing about Beavis and Butthead that a lot of people overlooked is underneath the dumb/physical humor it had a very satirical view of contemporary 90's culture. Which of course paved the way for series' such as South Park and the like to also pick up that brand of humor and run with it. It was very easy for people that disliked the show to ignore the quality and substance of the show. Similar to Trailer Park Boys, really.

I wish there was more commentary on YouTube videos rather than a few music videos and jersey shore What music video commentary we did get was pretty good though. "There's Lil' Wayne, he's like 'I was just in the back grading papers, what's going on?'" "'I told my niece she couldn't see Smurfs again, and she started warping space and time.'" Beavis revealing that "Firework" by Katy Perry is a guilty pleasure of his was another highlight.

To this day, I can still laugh myself stupid watching this show. It always got a bad rap as this show about idiots for idiots, when the truth is that the show was a parody of idiots. "Pregnant Pause" is still one of the funniest TV episodes of all time, in my personal opinion.

To this day, I can still laugh myself stupid watching this show. It always got a bad rap as this show about idiots for idiots, when the truth is that the show was a parody of idiots. "Pregnant Pause" is still one of the funniest TV episodes of all time, in my personal opinion. Beavis & Butthead are at a convenience store when they hear a pregnant woman and her friend talking. Beavis: Hey Butthead, that chick had to do it to get pregnant, right? Butthead: Huh, huh.... She did it! Beavis: Heh, heh....Oh yeah! Pregnant Woman's Friend: I can't believe you went out and got yourself pregnant! Beavis: You can get yourself pregnant?! Beavis proceeds to ransack a shelf of home pregnancy tests. Edit: Shit, someone already beat to that reference, by a good half-hour too! That's what happens when you have multiple tabs open at the same time. To the point about the show being a "parody of idiots". Basically it was a really smart show about really dumb characters. Also, the animation of Beavis getting hurt at the end of the episode and is punctuated by that heavy metal guitar riff is always funny. Especially when an agent busting sleazy personal injury attorney Joe Adler whips Beavis' neck and back and forth (the only one with a legitimate neck injury that occurred during their scam) and screams "I bet you don't even have whiplash!" It's great two dimensional physical comedy.

"Blood Pressure" is another one of my favorites. "Hey Beavis, check it out, it's diapers for old people!"

Which of course paved the way for series' such as South Park and the like to also pick up that brand of humor and run with it. One of my favorite examples of it being a satire of contemporary 90's culture would have to be the "Generation in Crisis" episode. The boys are followed by an opportunistic documentarian making an exploitative documentary on Gen X teenagers under the guise of doing it for much more altruistic reasons. It's a great way of demonstrating how the whole "slacker" thing was starting to be commodified by outside forces. And of course a story as old as time of worry about what is to become of "these kids today!"

The music video segments were at their best when they were watching really obscure "WTF"-type videos. Like this Nina Hagen one for instance:
