The mid 90s movie where Ashley Judd is framed for killing her husband. She's out now and searching for her actually live husband and his mistress/her former friend. She's using something called the In tur net? Sounds kooky to me, but she's located em.
Or maybe I heard that wrong, cuz it might be something called the Web?
I wasn't expecting science fiction in this drama/thriller to be honest; but apparently this innerweb is based on a an actual thing.
Have you heard of this thing? Do you think it'll catch on?

Well, they brought up like pages on the computer, and some of the words were highlighted. They called em links.
Links, like they're sausage or something.
Seemed real Star Trek.

Jokes aside, I forgot how just plain ludicrous this movie's premise is. Like, it makes no kinda sense if you think about it for more than two seconds.

The whole computers are magic thing just always make me smile.
I guess it reached its apex in Weird Science. I mean, 80s Kelly LeBrock with genie powers? Hard to top that.
Come to think of it, if they were in the same universe, she coulda stopped Skynet without a second thought.

The initial response to the internet in the mid-90s was, frankly, pretty damn hilarious in hindsight.
Something I'd love one of the nostalgia-type reviewers to get a hold of is a very obscure middle school age book series called "Cyber Zone", which seemed to have a... very interesting take on what the internet was capable of.

Everything I need to know about how the internet works, I learned from Hackers. -just remembers Jolie- There were computers in that movie? Yeah, and I think Sherlock, Shaggy, and the Newton Crosby's friend from Short Circuit were all in it. They all acted a little weird, however, like they weren't themselves. Oh, and J-Lo's ex hubby was in it too. Penn Gillette as well. Don't know where he had stuffed Teller when he filmed it. But yeah, 20 year old Jolie was something else.
