New Day wasn't be sincere at all, but they also didn't do anything to justify the beatdown either. The Usos and Luchas should have grabbed a mic and congratulated them on pulling yet another fast one, but vowed to take the titles next time they have the shot. Months of being obnoxious douchenozzles to everyone? Constantly winning their matches due to outside interference? Just because they didn't do anything to deserve it AT THAT VERY MOMENT, doesn't mean they didn't have something like that coming. It's called karma (no, no, not Awesome Kong). They've been use to winning via the numbers game, well they had a taste of their own medicine.

Horribly written. New Day did everything by the rules, sincerely congratulated their foes and then suffered a 4 on 3 beat down. Makes zero sense. You want the beatdown to work use midgets, have them actually make fun of the other teams. Don't have them all happy and shaking hands, celebrating with the fans and then have the faces attack. f***ing stupid. I was certain that they were going to re-create Edge & Christian's offbeat shenanigans and bring down midget Usos and midget Lucha Dragons down the aisle.

I don't have problem with it, because I think that was the start of New Day turning face. Now if we get to the Rumble and they're still pushed as heels then yeah this was just silly. THEY ARE HEELS. If you think they were truly being sincere, then I've got a beachfront property in Iraq to sell you. They had to win that match by using a distraction by a guy who wasn't legally in the match. No DQ or not, that is still using an unfair advantage to win. 3 vs 2 vs 2 The Usos and Lucha Dragons had every right to be pissed that they put their bodies on the line only to lose, because some loud mouth with a trombone got involved. So, they turned the tables and used the numbers game on New Day, 4 vs 3. Please don't quote me, I don't have interest in debating with you. The proof is in the segment and the reaction of the majority of the audience in the arena and this board. That's not how a forum works. You don't want to debate anyone, just don't quote back or reply to them. Or there's the ignore list.

It was ridiculous. I kept thinking the New Day was about to do something egregious to re-establish that they are, in fact, heels. Instead all they did was celebrate and get beaten down for it.
And I thought the Raw was very strong overall. I enjoyed it. That one piece stuck out like a sore thumb, though.

They should have reminded them of the trombone shenanigans, called Xavier out on taking a victory that wasn't really his, and left it at that. But now, they come off like sore losers who took the bait in what wasn't even that malicious of a move.

It was baffling.
Yeah, New Day weren't sincere and the over-the-top celebration after congratulating the other 2 teams was douchey but it wasn't "get beat down by 4 other men" douchey.
Should have just ended it with the other two teams approaching the ring, staring them down, calling New Day out on their bullshit and challenging them to a match.

I don't see how it was fake sincerity. We've seen New Day be fake, the WWE isn't subtle. Throughout the promo, they never backhanded complimented them, they didn't insult the crowd, they even ended with "All that was sincere, but right now it's about your boys!" Then the crowd popped. New Day did their shtick(because why wouldn't they?) and, logically, you'd cut to break. Then maybe this leads to New Day facing a heel team like The Wyatts or something, but no... The four dudes attacked them, got booed, and it leaves people like "Wha???"

Reads like a very weird segment there. Might have to wait and see how WWE.com spin it.

Or the "OMG how dare those babyfaces get revenge on the heels! The heels are nothing but innocent little boyscouts!" routine is played out. Revenge for what? For congratulating them on a match well fought sincerely? Yeah, okay. Please don't quote me, I don't have interest in debating with you. The proof is in the segment and the reaction of the majority of the audience in the arena and this board. Revenge because New Day won after Xavier, who wasn't in The match, threw a trombone at the guy who was going to win the match. Just because New Day is more entertaining than the other two teams doesn't automatically make them right.

You just cant announce a safe space towards yourself especially in replying back to someone in a snarky matter even if there was snark towards you and reply back with questions. Like you can choose to not reply back or ignore the person. But telling someone or everyone not to quote you is just wrong. People have to own up what they say or there reputations. Also on topic. It was a poor written segment, the heels came off way too sincere and the babyfaces didn't explain their side of things to so they looked bullies.

In a no-DQ match and it's not like Woods is some guy that has never associated with the New Day. If you're facing a trio then you shouldn't just assume that the person that isn't in the match isn't going to be involved in the match.

I didn't see it so I can't really judge, but my view is the hero should never escalate the conflict.

Poor Kalisto, that should have been a star making moment at TLC but that's how WWE chose to capitalise on it.
The Usos are already heels, especially the obnoxious diamond salesman.

And you say they are heels of course it wasn't sincere - it kinda did sound sincere. It kinda makes you feel sympathetic for the New Day which if that was the point, fine, but I don't think it was. I think it was just a badly executed segment
