They were Lock Of The Week specials to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions... Yet once more they leave a Takeover special without the gold.
There's no question that they'll remain over for the rest of their time in NXT, what with all the charisma and sing-a-long monologues and such, but is that overness a detriment to their championship aspirations, in that their more practical use may have become for other teams to get heel heat by screwing them over?
What factor could the rapidly-rising Jordan/Gable team play in the situation? They're almost as over as these two now, if not just as over, and they'll certainly be in line for a title shot sooner rather than later. That said, I don't think many would have too much issue with that.
There's also the big, old elephant in the other room... The main roster. These two have been in NXT the whole time it's been developmental, but there's not a lot else left they can do there other than win the tag belts. Could they bypass that set, and go the rounder, bronzer ones? Did someone say "New... Day's SAWFT"?
So, what next for The Realest Guys In The Room?

I don't think they're done with Dash and Dawson yet. Little bit of chaos tonight with the double teams, distractions, Cass getting pulled out on the pin and them grabbing Carmella for a shield. Maybe a no DQ or cage match to even things out. Tonight felt like the end of chapter 1 and not the end of the book for this.

I'm thinking that Enzo doing more than just getting beaten on before he make a hot tag is a sign that they're hopefully getting ready to move on up to something bigger. Unfortunately, it's very nearly Wrestlemania season, and nobody seems to get called up at that time just due to the overall cluttered mess of getting everyone already there on the card, so potentially one last big hurrah at Takeover: Texas to put a team over before they debut the day after Wrestlemania. Which, given how much their entrance's magic comes from the audience joining in, would be a debut to really benefit from a crowd that knows the gimmick, so to speak. Because knowing that you're supposed to shout along with their entrance is something that you in fact can teach.

I wanna say the Main Roster, but can Enzo even wrestle?

Enzo starts talking about the size of Cass' hog WAY too often and it causes them to break up.

I'll go with, "Jordan and Gable beat Dash and Dawson for the titles, then turn heel, then drop the titles to Enzo and Cass in Dallas."

I don't think they're ever getting the tag belts.
I don't really think they know what they're doing with the tag title scene.

Enzo Amore should turn heel on Big Cass for holding him back. He will then become completely serious and intense. MY NAME IS eric arnt AND I AM A CERTIFIED angered man looking for trouble AND YOU CAN'T TEACH THAT unless you do

Main roster debut within the next couple of months. Time for Enzo and Big Cass to take the act to the Bigs and prove their act translates in front of thousands.

To me, they're now the guys who talk big but can't close the deal.
So there needs to be a change somewhere.
I like them, but I no longer see them as a threat to the tag titles.

Considering these guys have already toured with the main roster doing dark matches I wouldn't be shocked to see them on the new Smackdown early into next year.

Keep them as is. They are essentially ECW's F.B.I. Extremely engaging for the audience and perfect fillers. Love em. But champions, they certainly are not. Overness is what you want in this game. They really can't wrestle at a high level, so they need to keep this going as is. The baby face who "can't" has always worked. Putting belts on them just accentuates how terrible they are in-ring when what they really need is to be rooted for (the chase, that is). Once you have the gold, you're supposed to be the best. Fact remains, they probably have some of the least in terms of in-ring ability, so keep chasing because I like them better that way.
Making them champions is like making Big Josh or Van Hammer as United States Champion back in the day. Ummmm, no. Likeable, but no.

I want New Day vs Enzo/Cass for Mania. Fresh blood who can tear the non existent stadium roof down.

Big Cass is easily Sid 2.0. I can see him getting over on the main roster without Enzo.

I don't know if I am really stoned or not, but I am watching Takeover London for the first time, and Enzo and Cass's opening and in ring promo almost brought me to tears. They have "it" in spades and connect with the crowd in a very special way. Like, they are people's dudes, and it is pretty cool. They have to give one of these crowds the satisfaction of them winning the belts.

I don't think they're ever getting the tag belts. I don't really think they know what they're doing with the tag title scene. I agree, the booking of the tag division seems really random and almost incoherent at times.
