He didn't show up to claim his slammy. That's a shame. On another note, I did believe he opped a buyrate for the night of champions ppv, so kudos to that. Sting still drawing in 2015.

Had he not lost at Wrestlemania I'd give it an A.

Hostage-taking bird would have bumped my D+ to an A.

I'd give it a b+. It'd be cooler if he won a match and actually feuded with the Undertaker, but for what they did it was pretty cool.
He was a big deal. They played to his strengths, and got 2 really good matches out of it.

C simply for the novelty.
It's always going to be something we remember, seeing as he was someone we weren't sure would ever make an appearance in WWE. That said, there was nothing memorable about this run whatsoever.

D.
It'd be an F, but it's obvious that Sting got into awesome f***ing shape to show up in WWE, so he put the effort in. WWE just failed him.

This was a dream scenario for years. Nowhere in that dream did fans envision Sting coming in so Paul and his boys could have yet another moment in the spotlight at 'Mania. The match with Rollins was fine, but his run would've been saved with a title win.
Just yet another case of WWE pissing on the grave of WCW. It shows how pathetic they really are.

Debut was cool. The Wrestlemania match was fine apart from the buttf*** decision to suddenly make it all about WWE vs. WCW, and then have Sting shake Triple H's hand after he'd hit him with part of a sledgehammer. Only then for Trips to gloat later on that same show about beatiung Sting as if he was some nobody. Gets a title shot out of nowhere and loses again. I can't imagine they'd ever treat a WWE legend in a similar way. I'm going with a D. It should have been an easy thing to book and they blew it. Sting, for his part, was great. I'm really glad I got to see him live at least. For a guy who had wrestlers turn on him a lot, this time he had a whole promotion. I voted "F" I wonder what a young fan of today thought of him? I think that he's too nice of a guy and let Vince walk all over him and he couldn't/wouldn't say "no" f*** this WM moment shit and working for the big time stuff. This did nothing for his legacy. However I do think he looked much better in the Rollins match until the end of course. Now give me a Surfer Sting figure, WWE and then go get screwed

I'd rate it a 10.
As in, 10 years too late.

Nice way to out the WWE employees on this board. I count 8 so far. I gave an A simply because I'm a big Sting fan, and I think he did the best he could with the garbage presented to him. He really worked his ass off in his last match till he got knocked out.

Remember what a bone-headed, overbooked misstep everyone thought Starrcade '97 was? Sting actually WON that match.

I'm going with a C. The bad stuff was indeed horrible, but the high points like his debut and the build to Mania were pretty amazing.

I didn't want him coming in because of the likelihood of them f***ing it up.
And I was not surprised at all. I hated HATED his Wrestlemania match and he hasn't had much more to show for it. He was probably the last big star that proved that you could make it without being in the WWE. Oh well.

A solid F.
No point in any of it, besides getting to say he wrestled at Mania and get him in the HOF. If he's happy thats cool.

The Night of Champions match with Seth, the ring clearing alongside Orton, the shock of him appearing at Survivor Series and performing at WrestleMania. Those are high points that I think we well worth it.
The rest, not so much. Sting himself worked hard but they never seemed to view him as special, and the WM loss remains an understandable but still poor decision that hurt everything.
I'd give it a C-

I'd give it a C- I don't get how they didn't view him as special? All of his appearances were really built up to mean something. They even treated his video game character as a big deal.

Sting's personal effort gets an A+. WWE's booking of him gets an F. I agree here, with the disclaimer that had he won at WM31, then the booking grade jumps considerably.

D.
As everyone else has said, Sting worked his ass off, he was just let down by the shockingly inept booking. A damn shame.
