He wrestles the most normal style I have ever seen. It's like he's the base character from an RPG and if you enhance his other stats you'd get someone else but instead the player tried to balance it out as much as possible.
If you added more speed, he'd be Zayn. If you added more attack, he'd be Joe. If you added more strength, he'd be Crews. If you added more defense, he'd be Corbin.
Balor is the CAW!

My only issue with Balor is his dumb finish and his goofy ass entrance in London.

I like Finn, but there's literally no difference between regular Finn Balor and DEMON!Finn Balor, aside from attires.

I have more problems with his character than his wrestling style. They needed to explain the whole Demon thing more. Right now he seems like a quiet guy who gets a little too into it when he plays dress up.

He shouldn't be a demon. They've done that with Kane and it's been done to death. Besides, Balor is too small to be taken seriously as a frightening monster. His paint and so forth should be a means of getting him over as the next Jeff Hardy. Book him as being a guy who simply lives outside normal society and doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks.

That's another thing, why have a "special mode" if you're not going to do anything different? It be like Goku turning into his gorilla form and still trying to fight Master Roshi style.

Why have a special form that basically just lets you win matches and not just wrestle in it all the time? It's a gimmick for 13 year olds and has as much thought put into it as one. All (goofy) style, no substance.

As Finn he is just a guy that wrestles. As the Demon he is just a guy that wrestles but in paint. There is so much they could do with both but he's already main roster'd.

I forget who it was, but I remember someone pointing out that he does do some spots as the Demon he doesn't usually do, but it's not a massive change. Maybe something a bit more drastic, like Kishin Liger's fighting dirtier than Jushin Liger tends to do, would be in order, but I guess he's still finding his place.

Demon Balor should use eye gouges, fish-hook his opponent's mouth, scrape his opponent's face with his boot, etc. If you're going to claim he's demonic, then let him wrestle in a vicious manner. Make the Demon mean something. Now with that said, I'm still a huge fan of the guy, a lot of that coming from the real Fegal Devitt and not the Finn Balor character. That Network documentary they did on him made me a permanent fan of the guy.

Dude is the nu-metal of wrestling. Sure, he seems cool now, but I have a feeling a lot of people are going to find him cringe-worthy in a few years. He's not bad, but he's not great either (Just my opinion).

That's my issue with him is his character. I never watched his outside work. The guy is a good wrestler, but why should I care about him? Ooooo he paints himself when he has a big match. He needs character and quick.
I say the same about Crewes though. Smiling wrestler who can wrestle but has nothing character wise to offer. Someone interferes in a match? Grrr angry wrestler who wants revenge!
Those of us who haven't seen these two in the indies need to be able to get behind them by more than their workrate. Or at least I do.

This would require him doing it all the time, and I'm okay with that. I don't like the way it's saved for big matches. It makes his non-Demon matches seem less important to him, and as everyone has said it doesn't change how he wrestles. It's a cool look, just roll with it as a cool look instead of some sort of transormation.

I remember there was one Takeover where he had the paint for a title contenders match with Tyler Breeze, yet he didn't use it for the actual title match with Owens on the weekly show. So are we to believe the contendership match more important that the title one it led to?

He does more dives to outside, and things like the shotgun kick into the barricade (and the stairs as seen by joe... followed by the attempted double stomp onto the steps) as well generally doing more stuff outside the ring in the paint. He also hit the brainbuster on Kevin Owens for the first time in paint mode as well as adding an extra diving double stomp off the top of the ladder when he could have won. It's not a complete overhaul like Cody Rhodes and Stardust but it's not supposed to be, but there is definitely a difference in what he does.

Owens played some mind games with him, saying he couldn't beat him without the demon, and Balor took the bait and wrestled as his normal lame self. That's not me judging that's just how the story seemed to go. I'm not big on comics but this might make some semblance of sense: it's like if Peter Parker fighting Venom as himself instead of Spiderman, so he could prove to Venom that the real Peter Parker is good enough, smart enough, and doggone it, people like him.

Definitely sounds like a start, though I guess given big matches often have people break out rare spots, anyway, he could still do more to highlight the difference.
