I'm guessing that a site called "Satira Tribune" isn't exactly a reliable (or serious) new source.

This is a parody article.
I can tell just by the last sentence.
"The WWE is adamant in using the name Superman Punch to make Reigns look strong."

Serious answer to a parodic question: they could be protected because referring to someone/thing as a superman (lowercase) is extremely common and does not directly reference the trademarked character.
I.E. the term itself predates the comic character

I hate sites like these, they just don't get it.
The Onion works beautifully because it gets parody news right by using wit and amusement in their articles. Simply writing a dry article on a semi-believable news story is not how a parody news site should work.

For one, "superman punch" isn't a trademarked term, either by Warner Bros. or the WWE. It's a common parlance term to describe a Muay Thai technique. As long as WWE doesn't try to trademark the term, there shouldn't be an issue.

at the end of future WWE DVDs at the end of the credits you'll see:
Superman Punch and Swiss Superman are all registered trademarks of Marvel Comics
That will clear EVERYTHING up

Big misunderstanding.
Roman's move is not the Superman Punch.
It's the Super Manpunch.
Glad to clear that up.

How can they sue?
Superman never made any money, saving the world from Solomon Grundy.
